Osama Bin Laden is finally dead after 9.5 yrs of being on the run for the September 11, 2001 World Trade Towers Attack..
I'm finally glad that he's now dead after all this time and have wished him dead since day one.. May his soul rot in hell for all eternity for what he's done to humanity..

It's a pity that it most likely won't do much to improve things given the way terrorist cells work. Let's hope his death at least serves to throw the rest of Al-Qaeda in enough chaos that they're unable to carry out further acts of major terrorism.

I'm sure conspiracy theorists will have a field day with this, what with him reportedly killed, and so quickly buried, and at sea, instead of being captured and put on trial. There could certainly be the question of if he is really dead. I know it's proper in their religion to bury a body within a day, and no country supposedly would want to have his remains, hence the quick burial at sea, but you can't deny that some people will have doubts...
And without a leader, doesn't that mean Al-Qaeda could possibly have a crazier replacement, or even without a leader, if they still have the means to blow stuff up, couldn't that mean they could still be a threat, with a motive of retaliation?

It really depends on what kind of leader he was. If he was merely a figurehead as some people suggest, his death would merely incite more attacks as retaliation. If he really was their charismatic leader and mastermind behind their plans, his death will cause the less dedicated to abandon ship while the group that remains is disorganized. Of course, the real reaction could be anywhere in between and then some. We just don't know, and we can't let our guards down.

Do we have to talk about this here? Everybody everywhere is talking about this and they will be for weeks.

i didn't know if anyone here heard about it on the news yet so i wanted to post the news that he's now dead.

I am skeptical about this news. If you look closely in the newspaper, the picture of the terrorist's disfigured face looks a great deal like it was forged from the original photo with some graphical program.
