Post your Friend Codes... VGMaps.com Wii party?
« on: July 22, 2009, 09:52:42 pm »
I think that if I can't stop playing games I might as well be a bit more social about it.  Let's post our Wii #s and Friend Codes here, and if there is enough apparent interest, we'll try to figure out a time to have a VGMaps.com forum users' Wii party.

My real-life friends don't seem so generous about sharing Wii codes, so it's about time I actually have some friends to play online with.

If it concerns anyone, I don't have a Wii Speak.

Oh, yeah, I forgot I've got Dr. Mario for WiiWare as well.  I'll have to get the code for that when I get home.

Maxim, I think we also need your Wii # to connect.

I don't think it's necessary to exchange Wii numbers unless you want to send messages and photos.

Wow, really? Are you sure about that?

If so, I guess that shows you how much I take my Wii online. :p And all the more reason that everyone else should share their Friend Codes... >_>

Anyway, I added my Dr. Mario: Online Rx code to my original post.

Anyone else?  Come on, now, seriously.  If the Wii is the most popular game console this generation, and the regulars of this web site are clearly gamers with Internet access, surely there must be more of you.  >_<

Three years of having my Wii online and I've never played online against anyone.  Ever.  Not once.  WTF.  Somebody, anybody, sheesh!

You have to arrange a time and/or arrange it by IM/IRC/etc. Timezones suck, too. Randomly hoping to find someone online only works if you know loads of people and/or they're constantly idling online.

I'd offer but I'm about to catch a plane to China, leaving my Wii at home :)

Unfortunately, I don't any game, Wii or Wiiware, that features multi-player gaming. Super Smash Bros Brawl is the closest I might be interested in (on account of featuring so many Nintendo characters), but I simply have no fun playing fighting games, even simplified ones. Sorry :(

Oh and Maxim, have fun in China (provided it's not for work)!

The Smash Bros. games are literally the only fighting games I enjoy.

Same here. It feels more like a cross between all the Nintendo (platformer) games at once, with a super simple control scheme that I love.

I should really put up my friend code(s) when I get back home. I haven't played in a long time because of school so I'm rather rusty, but when I get back my groove and team up with my brother, I can give you a real run for your money. Just be warned that my brother has started reverting to his old no-items, final-destination self from when played Melee. I'll try to keep him in line, though. :P

We also have Mario Kart and The Conduit (only he plays it, I only watch).

Well, okay, how about everyone who's interested to add my Wii # and Friend Codes, and provide their own, and sometime in the Christmas break I'll set up a time and we'll play some Super Smash Bros. Brawl and/or Mario Kart Wii together?

Or would the Christmas break, ironically, be when people are busiest?

You'd have to find a way to convince me to temporarily take out New Super Mario Bros. Wii for any other game. :P

It would be easier to get me to do once I beat it, but until then, good luck. :P

Edit: Brawl code is 4511-0146-4078. Won't be able to do Mario Kart because my brother left it back at campus. :P
