I don't know if i requested this game before or if someone else has requested it or not but I'd like to request some maps for this game if it's possible to map..
Thanks.

bump..

Just curious, what exactly do you want mapped here? The exact location of the blocks in the tunnels is random. Other then that isn't the game just one long empty tunnel?
-
your thinking of the random portion of the game where ya go through the stages in one shot.
the game is seperated by five boards and 9 sub-stages (similar to super mario bros.)
I'm just wanting to know if this game can be mapped?
-
Uh... How do you get to the non random stages?
-
do ya know how to select the level, then stage, then the ship??
-
I can select "area" and "player" but nothing else.
-
the menu should look something like:
Level Stage
====== =========
= 1 = = Random =
= 2 = = 1 2 3 =
= 3 = = 4 5 6 =
= = = 7 8 9 =
====== =========
===================================
= Ship-1 Ship-2 Ship-3 Ship-4 Ship-5 Ship-6 =
===================================
Hope that ascii art helps give ya a better idea of what the menu looks like once ya select either 1 or 2 players at the title screen..
I'm just wanting to know if each level plus their respective stages can be mapped or is it impossible to map?
Thanks.

I looked it up, and apparently Quarth was released several times on several systems with a few different names. That could explain the difference.
I also found out that the game is a shooter-puzzle game. What is there to map?
-
I recall that the Game Boy Player's Guide had maps of it. Unless I'm remembering incorrectly.
-
I was thinking we were talking about the NES version but that ascii diagram looks nothing like it so I guess I found my problem. Which system did you mean magicbay?
-
That looks like the Gameboy version, which I just tried for myself. I'm curious as to what exactly the Player's guide had, because I just tried level 1, stage 1, and got two different layouts. Is there a limited set it pulls from, or are they just (more or less) random? Because if it's random, there's nothing to map.
-
Quarth is for the gameboy version.
-
OK after a check yes it is mappable. The block colors changes with the ship you pick but the blocks themselves stay in the same spot. I'll give this project a shot.
-
Thanks Trop.
Can't wait to see the maps that ya come up with. ;D
-
All done. I'll upload em as a package on... Tuesday it looks like.
-
Thanks for posting the maps, Trop. Can't wait to look at them.
-
No problem.
-
They're up.

thanks Trop for posting the link to the maps as well as mapping the game for those that's got the game.
i figured it would take some time to map the game but not this fast though. :)
-
Heh, yeah I'm fast, but this wasn't that hard. Oh and I know you wanted all of Wild Arms done, but back then I didn't quite have the skill, well someone put a request for some maps of it in my site's queue so I though I might take another shot at it in the coming months.
-
yea, i wanted wild arms mapped back then but if ya can do that one in the coming months, that'll make my year.
i've got wild arms on the ps2 and psp and that's why i was wanting the wild arms maps then so i could figure out where to go on both versions of wild arms.
Hope to see the wild arms maps once ya get done with them, Trop.

I'm stuck trying to make a walk through walls code right now. The game is generally forgiving but it will still be necessary.
