Mapping Tips/Guides / Re: Texture Skewing Tool
« on: June 10, 2012, 09:47:21 pm »
I had an issue years ago where some malicious code got onto the server.  I removed the script fairly quickly, but it looks like Symantec doesn't bother to re-check sites that have been black-listed.  Great, makes me wonder what other security tools have done this...

So I take it you use NIS?

I can't wait to see what Endless World of Yoshis looks like.

Speaking of which, how come, according to MarioWiki, Secret 5 and Secret 6 have two different names?

Secret 5 is "Fight Toadies w/ Toadies" or "Fight Baddies w/ Baddies"
Secret 6 is "Endless World of Yoshis" or "Crazy Maze Days"

Is this a Europe-American thing?

Well we're friends (in terms of 3DS Friends) so I think I'll just join this anyway.

Maps Of The Month / Re: 2011/08: Golden Sun (GBA) - Paco & Stefan Mahrla
« on: August 01, 2011, 12:05:09 pm »
So wait, why is it when I go to vgmaps.com it displays July 2011, but when I press F5, it shows August 2011? Shouldn't I need to refresh it? Shouldn't it have displayed it anyway?

Wait, how come the main site had this up for the Maps of the Month, earlier, but now it's back to showing last month's?

Yay for predictable URLs. I simply copied the URL for the image for May 2011, which obviously as you know is
https://www.vgmaps.com/NewsArchives/MotM-2011-05.png and then changed it to https://www.vgmaps.com/NewsArchives/MotM-2011-06.png -- thus, when you upload the image, or whatever, it will automatically appear in my sig  8)

EDIT: OMG! The Maps of the Month is... wait, who is that?

Yeah, if only you could make it so that the entire stage is animated.

Yeah, just seems odd -- Plate Peril is much more appropriate, don't you think? I'm not saying you should ask Jon to change it, since it's "officially" called Ferry Fiasco (even though there isn't a sponge that acts as a ferry across the wide river, that is "the kitchen sink". I also wonder why some tracks have different names in the SNES, GB/C versions etc.
For example, Whine On! is called Spills N Thrills on the SNES, and just Spill Thrills on the GB/C. Likewise, Driller Killer is called Toolbox Terror on the GB, GBC, and SNES versions.
