Will submitted more BN4 maps this weekend.  It appears that there are only 3 to go.  So close...

On that note, do you plan to map any other BN games after you finish BN4?  I would like to mention that BN4.5 is totally different from BN4, and it has very few maps.  (Around 20 I think.)  Some people mistakenly think that BN4.5 is an enhanced version of BN4, but in actuality they are completely different games.  Just thought that I would point this out.

A leaked video of the Mega Man 10 demo at the Consumer Electronics Show reveals the names of the remaining Robot Masters:

Blade Man
Solar Man
Sheep Man
Chill Man
Commando Man
Nitro Man
Strike Man
Pump Man

Sounds like a nice lineup.  It makes me want to actually play the game.

EDIT: Video has been removed, but this link has a screenshot of the stage select screen.

This week Revned's Mega Man 9 maps were uploaded so that map set is now more complete than it previously was.  All that is left now is the Endless Stage which Revned says is well underway.  In addition, I would like to say that I do appreciate the effort that TenguMan put into his maps, and that such a feat should not go unnoticed.

According to Will's above post, he actually much closer to completion than I expected.  I was estimating that there would be about 140 maps since the other games have about that many, but it seems that there may be about 99 maps in BN4.  As such, the current count has been updated, and there are officially 5 maps to go.  Good work Will.

Ah yes, I always thought that this game looked nice.  Sure it's a typical Zelda rip-off, but the graphical touches (cloud shadows, etc.) are much better than LttP.  The music isn't bad either.  Good luck.

34 areas?  I assume that you are excluding the boss rooms?

This weekend brought a few more BN4 maps from Will.  I think that Undernet Sector 6 was included, so he must be getting close to the end.  Keep up the good work!

Impressive Revned.  Mega Man 9 has brought some mapping stories.  First we have a person reconstruct maps by hand from the original tiles, and now we have someone fix a bug in an emulator for the sole purpose of mapping Mega Man 9.  By the way, do you plan to tackle all 42 levels in Endless Mode?  That would be another impressive feat.

Nice work!

P.S. There is a missing weapon refill after the bubble section in your Splash Woman map.  Just thought you would like to know.

TenguMan submitted the final four Mega Man 9 maps this weekend!  So now all of the classic Mega Man games are mapped until Mega Man 10 is released in March.  Thank you TenguMan.

Also, Will submitted another set of BN4 maps.  It looks like he is currently at about 67%.  Nice work!

That's hilarious about MegaPhilX's game.  I saw the banner, but I thought that it was a joke on Capcom's part.  Now that I see the Comet Woman background for the official site, I am beginning to think otherwise.  When MegaPhilX released info on this "Mega Man 10" game, I was wondering how much confusion it would cause if a real Mega Man 10 came out...

After looking at the silhouettes I think that the fire-themed boss looks like Wario's dragon hat from the Wario Land games.  Also, if the knife boss's name ends up being Blade Man, it will be the fifth boss name to be shared/reused from Mega Man III PC.  (The other four being Oil Man, Wave Man, Torch Man and Shark Man.)

Official Mega Man 10 Trailer

Included are silhouettes of all of the bosses and gameplay for their respective stages.  Can't wait for this game to be released.

Also available are official sites:

Rockman 10 Official Site
Mega Man 10 Official Site

The Mega Man 10 site has music up.  One of them sounds like the music from the stadium stage.  Also confirmed is are last two Robot Master stages: highway and old castle.

This weekend RMMH submitted two maps from the Sega Saturn version of Mega Man 8.  While at first these maps may not look much different from Zeric's PSX maps, the Sega Saturn version of Mega Man 8 included two extra areas in which you could fight Cut Man and Wood Man.  With that, the set of Mega Man 8 maps on the site is now complete in both versions.

Thanks RMMH.

At least it's not as confusing as Final Fantasy.  (FF X, FF X-2, FF XIII, FF Versus XIII, FF Agito XIII, etc.)

EDIT:

New Nintendo Power info courtesy of The Mega Man Network.

A new Robot Master, Commando Man, has been revealed along with some new stages.  They include a stadium (complete with a soccer/football-themed midboss), a sewer, and a desert.  These come after the initial NP report of a computer stage, an ice stage, and a lava stage.

Other info mentioned is that the Yashichi from Mega Man 1 is returning, and that there will not be any female robot masters this time.  (Splash Woman just never went over well with me, but then again "Mermaid Man" doesn't make much sense either...)  Finally the release date, as predicted, is March 2010.

So far MM10 is reminding me of the Mega Man PC games.  (Didn't I say that when Mega Man 9 was announced?)  I am sure that it will end up being really good though.

Oh yes!  I knew that the silence at IntiCreates had to be broken soon.  The major questions now are who is the third playable character, and when will it be released.  I am kind of leaning towards Bass as the third character, but I will not rule out the possibility that Roll could be playable.  As far as the release date goes, Mega Man 9 was released about 3 months after its announcement.  Wonder if Mega Man 10 will follow suit...

Long live the ever-growing list of Mega Man games!
