VGMaps Social Board / Putting some prized belonging up for sale

Hey everyone. I am working hard at keeping a business running and keeping my family in a home. Things are tight though, and I have come to the conclusion that selling some treasures is better in order to take care of my other treasures and the season at hand.

I have listed a couple of items and will be listing more things this week, I hope you take a look.

I don't have any expectations, and I know we all come to these points in life sooner or later. At the very least wish me luck

VGMaps Social Board / I have a request

So I was in a town I don't normally go to, visiting the local mall, and went in the Hot Topic store. I like to see what comic book related shirts they have. I saw one of Batman as a Black Lantern, relates to the Blackest Night storyline going on in Green Lantern. I really dug it for some reason, but the size was only Large and I wear an XL.

If you guys (and gals?) could keep an eye out for me next time you're mall-walking, I would really appreciate it if you could pick it up and let me know. It has Batman, he's reaching out, looking rather dead and zombified, and the word 'Rise' is on an upper corner. Comes from Blackest Night #5.

And yeah, I've looked all over the web for the shirt with no luck. Its not on Hot Topic's site. Its not even on Ebay.

Gaming / Monster Hunter Tri

Anyone pick this up? Its been interesting so far, though I am only lvl 2. Online play has been great fun, though the bigger monsters are quite a pain some times.

Let me know if anyone wants to play online.

And Jon, I have Tats vs Capcom. I'll have to get my code to you. I totally suck at it. A 8 year kid who has never played it before wiped the floor with me. But its still fun and I'm trying to learn.

Gaming / Deadly Creatures on Wii

Any of you that have a Wii, I hope you can pick up Deadly Creatures. I highly recommend it. The controls are tight, the graphics are above average, the production value is outstanding. Unless you are a fan of minigame fests, this is a game that needs to be played.

Gaming / Zack & Wiki: Quest For Barbaros' Treasure (Wii)

This game is the reason for everyone here to get a Wii. Its amazing. No other game on any other system will give you the challenge and satisfaction of solving the puzzles like this one.



It starts off simple, gives a false sense of 'I'm smarter than this', and then SLAM right into a brick wall. Then you notice that you missed some things on the previously 'simple' levels. 70% done but I passed everything? Damn you, Zack and Wiki! Damn you!



Yeah, and its only $40.

Gaming / Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Wii)

Where's the love for Samus on these boards? I guess most of you haven't moved over to the Wii yet?



Jon, that PM with the new Wii number, is that different than the original? I can't remember. But your name is showing as grey in my online list.



So far, it feels like Metroid Prime with Wii controls. The graphics are great. Shane from 1Up needs to pull his head out of his arse. And they need to get him off of reviewing Wii games.



This game is going to build my arm muscles up though. I am always correcting my aim, and I must drink too much caffine cause the pointer is everywhere.



I figure its like playing Mario on the N64 for the first time. I could not control him at all. Then over time I got used to the idea and my thumb became adapted to the analog stick.



So, thumbs up. It may not be the reason for everyone to own a Wii, but there are many other reasons for everyone to own one.

VGMaps Social Board / Headed to Canada next weekend

Wednesday was my wife's and my anniversary (married 3 years), and I'm planning a trip to Niagara Falls Canadian side for the weekend.



Anyone been there recently and have suggestions of what to do? Maybe bring snow boots?? (I saw some lake effect snow smack the area today, more than 6 inches of the white stuff.) I'm pretty sure we're going to do the Maid of the Mist, perhaps the butterfly atrium. And the hotel rool has a heart shaped jaccuzzi ( :O )

Message Board Help / Forum Wish List

As long as Jon doesn't mind, I thought we could make a thread of things we'd like to see happen with the forum. Maybe they'll happen, maybe not. But it'll be nice to have a place to reference when I'm looking to do something to this place.



Personally, I want to make the signatures dynamic. How do you all feel about that? And I took away the darn '
' when ever a new thread is made and when you preview a message.



There's some other various error messages and things I'd like to clean up. As I said, its if Jon doesn't mind me doing this.

Gaming / Now I'm really getting excited for the Wii

With UbiSoft announcing 7 launch titles, a couple in my interest range, I am soo looking forward to getting my gruby paws on the Wii. I was afraid that publishers wouldn't take Nintendo up on producing FPS games for the system, but now that FarCry, Call of Duty 3, Medal of Honor, Metroid 3, and Red Steel are coming out at or close to launch, I'll be in FPS heaven for a long time. Of course that is assuming that the controller is worth its salt. The Nintendo Fusion tour is headed to Cleveland. I'll have to see if I can get up there.
