I thought I had sent a system notification yesterday morning but apparently I didn't. So I sent one in the evening, which is the first one there, asking "Is this thing on?"
Then I made another note to everyone about the point I originally wanted to make, that I had sent certain people some private messages about something in particular. It was taking a while for them to reply. Rather than PM them all separately, since I'm apparently a lazybum, as well as the fact that some people don't even notice that they have any PMs, a "Mass Sys-Note" can reach everyone and is harder to ignore.
Most users wouldn't have any PMs from me recently, so don't feel like you're missing out if I didn't send you any. And if you did get one, you might as well reply in some form seeing as how that was the whole point of all this.

Well I didn't get any PMs, but at least I know it's not some idiot like that other person who deleted some topics and said that I'd been 'banned'.

You know, I am frustrated at AT LEAST three people who have outstanding unreplied PMs. >_< Do you guys WANT me to make a big sign on the front page that says "READ YOUR PMS!"?

Why don't you just make a topic with all three of their names in it? That way it doesn't bug unrelated people.

actually, what's the difference between a topic everyone can read and a system message everyone can read? Both things can be read by anybody and would bug the people annoyed by such a thing the same..
Well, maybe you should have included the related nicknames in the system notification.
PS: I wouldn't mind a bigger PM Counter, I also oversee that little number easily when it changes from 0 to something different.

You actually have to read the system notification to get the big yellow bar to go away, though. Oh well, it's not a big deal.

That's it, I'm smacking TerraEsperZ upside the head because he got a PM and hasn't responded, and his recent post shows that he's alive. Plus, I entered his account earlier today and saw that he already read the PM in question but didn't reply. >_<
