Yes clockwork aquario in avalable on Switch and PS4 ans soon PC but it is avalable on HBMAME (thats how I'm compiling the map)
It is on HBMAME because from that I was told "Clockwork Aquario is emulated, but it uses a custom emulator that was modified quite abit - this was needed as the original source had some missing data. It simply wasnt feaseable to get the missing audio and video data back into the ROM in an easy way and still keep it within System18 limitations.
Therefore both ROM and Emu are a one of a kind custom solution that make it highly unlikely to get it run in MAME without alot of work." "So it is a true restoration, but the restoration hasnt been done for the original System18. For example the original game only had a certain number of graphic memory banks, for the restoration this was extended, so more could fit into roms than originally possible. The original audio roms for the game have been lost, but CD audio recordings existed, so those were integrated into the game - something the original system couldnt really do :)
So what this means is that the standard System18 emu of Mame wouldnt be able to run it."
So to get it to work on acual system 18 hardware (MAME) you would have to modify it like M2 did with system 16C for Fanasy Zone 2 OR someone heavily modifies the rom to get it to run on system 18.

Big thanks to Anonymous for offering them up.
Just to be clear what version are the maps? Alpha, Marble Madness 2 or Beta, Marble Man.
Is there anymore info on the differences between versions?

more info on MM2
I talke to the guy in the video (Scott, no not scott evans). He is doing FPGA duplicates of MM2 to "get it into more hands". Any more than that he does not comment. MM2 is its own unique hardware and thats all I got from him.

So unless called dibs on its up for grabs. even mine.

For arcades mame of course (f4, time map viewer) but some game you would have to use older versions.
For genesise/MD Gens Re-Rrcording (has option for pink background to separate layers from the black transparant BG), wish other emulators had that.

There is some good news. I reached out to some one (reliable source) in the mame team and he has confirmed that It is dumped and in a private build of MAME "that's a given". Kined of like how primal rage 2 is. I guess the game is secured from what ever happens to the hardware.
So when it will be released is up to the rom owners.

Map Gab / Re: Map presentation suggestion

Yes, Lunar is one example (the intro, dragon chamber and other single screen pics) among others, even mine. Example, the arcade Black Heart. different width but same height. Should i have combined then like i did with Rygar? Have them all in one pic or would it be too big forcing you to scroll all over to look at it. Or would too many combinations take up alot of storage space?

Map Gab / Map presentation suggestion
« on: October 27, 2020, 10:24:46 am »
I see some maps that can be done with 10 or less images but some put 50 or more with very smal images. Most won't click though the 50 plus images.

The map list shouldn't be longer than it needs to be. To show 1 room seperatly would not be efficient or comfortbale to see. Imagin if Zelda was uploaded with each room individualy how annoying it would be. Mario is fine to uploaded individual levels for example. I understand some maps need to be split up since they can be very big.

That is my suggestion, what do all of you think? Do you prefer clicking thought 100 small images than 1 image that fits all 100 images on screen?
