VGMaps Social Board / RE: digimon...pokemon...

I would think that it bores more because of its age than because of its black-and-whiteness. But because most black and white games are already old, one easily thinks it must be because of the lack of colours.

It can be different for the game you talked of but I just know that I really liked many scenes in newer games that were toned in greyscale. If a game has good gameplay, controls and good music (not the quality, just the theme), it should be enjoyable independent of its graphical qualities.

I would like to see a Digimon map more than a Pokémon map because there are already many Pokémon games maps. I just do not know which Digimon games are well mappable. But I think the Playstation games have been with prerendered background images so they would be mappable - and then there are those many Wonderswan games, although they are in Japanese only.

When someone says minors, I always associate it with that stupid joke I once tried to understand with a friend of mine..

A C and Eflat and a G walk into a bar. The bar tender says sorry I don't serve minors.

I always thought it would have been one word, Gameboy, until you told me that it's different. Since then I always try to write Game Boy instead. But it's written wrong in all of my past texts that contained the name of the Dot Matrix Game in any context.

Because your topic says something different than your post:

Do you want a video game review or do you want a main system review?

I had a similar dream with a big ape (imagine King Kong). And I was hiding in a stone pipe in the forest. But I had to run first until I found the pipe. It was a recurrent dream I must have had at a similar age, 4 or 5 years.

oh, and how it's bothering me...

I was so happy when we had got the new Forum software with avatars, edits, images, links, smileys, message history, colours, Show-New-Posts function and more..

And I really do not understand why Jon has changed back to that primitive forum software. This forum is about a hobby that relies on beautiful images where every single coloured pixel sits where it belongs - so how can such a forum use a software without any type of images or colours? I so much criticized the first forums and now all my words have been for nothing because we get them back?

Sorry, but I really do not understand the advantages of this forum software.

And I want my clickable links with preview image back, I do not like having to overwrite my temporary storage everytime I want to comment on an image.

About your problem, Terra, I also prefer a version without arrows.

Gaming / RE: Tomb Raider: Legend
« on: April 24, 2006, 09:42:03 am »
I played all six predecessors of the game. And I only really disliked part 5 because of how the puzzles had been made - the exploring type was almost completely left out of that part. I liked all the others because you had to find out where to go and how to reach it (with jumping and climbing) - that's how I got to know Tomb Raider and why I love it.

I haven't played the new Legend part yet, but will check it out soon enough. And if it has got the large explorable areas of parts 1,2,3,4 and 6 then  I surely will like it :)
