Mario shows up at the end of Wario Land to steal the giant statue of Princess Peach that is revealed when Captain Syrup's castle is destroyed. (Sorry if I spoiled it for anyone.) Though, it's still pretty much a Wario-only game.

Wario Land 3 would be interesting to map, consdering pretty much every level has not only day and night versions, but different versions made from collecting treasures. That will make things rather messy. I've considered taking a stab at it, but it wouldn't be for a long time. I think I'm a little too ambitious. :P

As of today, I've mapped all the way up through the second version of Moleville, meaning I am more than halfway done with the game. I spent almost an entire day on the Coal Mines.

Why? Because I mapped out the Mole Mountain minecart minigame! All the coin and mushroom locations are shown. The last room was especially time consuming because it used tile displacement (like in Yoshi's Island when you get dizzy) to create the very smooth slopes on the rails. I had to do it adjust the tiles myself.

So yeah, on to Booster Pass!

Even though Kirby isn't up there, I will gladly map out KDL2 from where Raccoon Sam left off (or poke him until he starts back up).

You know, after I've finished some other projects first.

I imagine that the Gameboy Advance should have a separate atlas because it really is a different system from the old Gameboy and Gameboy Color.

As for Kirby, the main reason that the SNES games haven't really been mapped is because they use some kind of heavy compression that make their savestates turn up gibberish in bgmapper. I know Raccoon Sam started mapping KDL2 for the Gameboy but gave up, but I might take a swing at it myself. I need an excuse to play the game again. :P

Of course, as it is my plate is already so full of Mario, and I really want to map the Stafy games in the future. Blah, so much to do and so little time.

Say, what about Kirby? Those games need more love. :D

Edit: Perhaps a Game Boy [& Color] Atlas?

My weekend was very busy, and I had very little time to actually do anything. Only things I managed was to map Forest Maze (in a bit of a rush) and speedily rip me some VRML data from Dry Dry Outpost. This is the last week before spring break for me, so expect a sharp drop in activity from me, followed by a tremendous spike. I might be able to put together a Rose Town (after Bowyer) map in between my tests and projects due this week, but who knows.

Map Requests / RE: A Nightmare on Elm Street by Monarch

Funny thing is, I'm in a class that deals with just this kind of stuff, but in a business setting. The professor suggests backing up on multiple places, including an external harddrive, hard medium, and a remote server. A harddrive crash or a natural disaster can kill a business in the media industry.

Old map folder says: 368

Oh, and I'm still feeling bleh. Progress will be slow or halted until I get better. :(

Yep, I've decided to (once again) shift my priorities and make SMRPG my main focus right now. Progress is being hindered right now by the fact I feel miserable right now due to illness, but I did manage to put together the Kero Sewers map. Depending on my mood, I might decide to go ahead and finish YI 1-1 after I remap Midas River, or I could just plow on through to Tadpole Pond. Either way, expect progress this weekend.

I would definately if I could find a DS emulator with as much functionality as VBA or bgmapper for SNES savestates. My maps wouldn't look as good as possible if I was forced to rely on purely screenshots for a game like that. Also, since I have no idea how the battle system works in the game, I can't figure out the stats for enemies and there's no chart I can look up either. At least in MLSS, they used a simple Attack - Defense = Damage formula, but in MLPT, the damage is consistant yet unpredictable. I'm aware that TMK has somehow acquired stats for the enemies (shown in their recent Japan->US difference article) but nothing from MLPT is in their Mariopedia yet. I guess MLPT will just have to wait for now. As it is, I already have too many projects. :P

Good news and bad news. Bad news is, my weekend was full of time-consuming distractions, so I didn't have a lot of time to do anything. Also, my SMRPG map revamps will take longer than expected to finish. The reason is the good news. I've decided to basically redo my SMRPG maps from scratch, doing another entire playthrough and adding in NPC and enemy sprites where needbe to make my maps more complete than they were before. I finished up to the first Star Piece with Mack, and hope to finish more during the week. I'll also try to fit YI in there as well.

And we can't really toss the DKC trilogy out of the SNES atlas, they're too important. :P

Just wanted to say that this week will be a busy week for me. I have YI 1-1 layed out and ready for ripping, all 50 rooms of Dry Dry Desert rendered and ready for arranging, and this weekend I'll be visiting home, which means I'll be able to redo my SMRPG maps. However, Satuday is Valentine's Day, so I'll also be busy making gifts for friends. If I don't finish the 1-1 map by tomorrow, you can expect it sometime over the weekend. As for the SMRPG maps, I could possibly have them all done in one day (after all, I just need to rearrange and label them) but we'll see.

Map Requests / RE: More of an Idea than a Request
« on: February 07, 2009, 10:30:33 pm »
That is an interesting idea. I recently found out that Wario Land 4 has a debug room, and I think I'd like to map it once I finish the normal levels.

Also, welcome to the forum. :D

Yeah, I know. I do plan on fixing this when I get the chance. I was planning on doing so when we get to mapping World 6, but that would take way too long. I'll probably do it whenever I make the next YI map or before then.

Maps In Progress / RE: Wario Land 2 (GB)
« on: February 05, 2009, 11:22:41 pm »
Agreed. The Wario Land games have lots of juicy secrets that make mapping it exciting. There are several secrets in the WL4 levels I've mapped so far that I would have never found if it weren't for being able to disable layers. I don't think you have the luxury of that with the first three games, though.
