Yeah!  Thanks for the honor Jon this was a fun and difficult project.  To anyone who hasn't played this game go do it now.  It was one of the last cool twisted reality games Enix made before Square essentially destroyed them.  Mystic Ark is a strange sequel to both The 7th Saga and Brain Lord.  Characters, monsters, and design from both predecessor games are incorporated into this one.  Some people might not like the bizarre world hopping but the game still has all the RPG mechanics found in others like it of its day.  And of course like other Enix titles it has that distorted quality that keeps it from feeling rigid or like "just a game".

As for the work Paco and I did it too was fun.  There was a lot of discussion on what to put where.  We had to create special arrangements and visual puzzle solutions.  Sometimes the challenges were frustrating, but they were always satisfying of overcome.  It was like building a giant LEGO tower with video game blocks.  Totally fun, totally worth the effort.  I'd totally do it again.

OK, done.  That's Magical Vacation.  There were some real messes but overall it was just a lot of work.

It's spectacular.  I never noticed how many big dead trees there are.  Or how big Clock Town really is.  And I knew the mountain was big but damn.  And I never knew about the Skull Kid in the grass!

I'll just finish Magical Vacation myself.  I don't want it to sit around forever.

I'd still take someone to make the initial program but I could still see it happening.  Computers are getting so pro active now I'm sure they'll be genuinely scary in just a few years.

The Galaxy map is the world map so you can put it wherever.

I always wondered if at some point emulator technology would be able to make maps on its own.  Something like an advanced feature building the whole level straight out of the code.  Sure it would be extremely difficult to create such a thing since it would be like making a level editor on the spot for any game loaded.  But I could see an advanced program writing the necessary code itself.

Cyber Knight.

Really.  It's been since April that I finished a project?  Maybe I'm forgetting one or something.  Oh, right, Casper.  Well that wasn't much of a project.

If I had a walk through walls code for Magical Starsign I might consider it.  But there's a lot of other things to do mapping wise in that game so you might as well go ahead.

Yes I added the missing stuff to the Plane of Darkness and finished it but I didn't keep the raw maps.  And don't worry about submitting raw maps, most of the stuff at VGMaps are raws.

No they're not complete.  I still need you to make all the maps for the Plane of Death so I can mark them up.

For Summon Night either submit the maps to Jon or make a new thread about it.

I just finished Dawn of Sorrow and I'm most of the way through Ecclesia.  I Successfully mapped a hall in the Demon Guest House from Dawn as a test but damn, so much 3D in the rest of the game.  You'd absolutely need a way to do the 3D to get it to look right otherwise you'd have a lot of areas with no background.  Think of the ship in the background of the first water area in Ecclesia.

I guess it makes sense that Termina would be rough, it's got parts from the whole game in it.  But HALF of the game's characters are in Clock Town?!  That does surprise me.  Your Mask Salesman wallpaper would be a great style for the figures.  Like your holding it in your hand instead of looking down into a glass case.

Captain Novolin (Captain Novolin)
I think they've stopped making these diabetes games.  So this guy, to spite being dressed like Superman, is essentially Mario.  His jumping is his best stat and he even has a spinning jump.  It's also his only offense; pounding down on enemy heads.  Captain Novolin's maneuverability is about average but it's kind of hard to tell since his game is set up like a beat em up.  He has no versatility.  There's just no reason for him to have any in this game.  His defense, while decent, is wrapped around keeping him out of a diabetic coma like in other games like this.  Overall he's too vulnerable and simple to make him a good export.
