Map Requests / RE: Mega Man Maps
May 14, 2007, 07:11:33 AM
Update 5/13/07:

It looks like Geminiman is going to work on Mega Man X2 next.  He has ripped maps for Crystal Snail and Wheel Gator.  8 to go...

NiGHTS has a nice soundtrack.  They don't make VG music like that anymore.  The composers for that game did other soundtracks that were very nice.  Tomoko Sasaki did the entire Ristar soundtrack and some miscellaneous Sonic music.  (Some tracks on Heroes and Adventure I think.)  Fumie Kumatani did most of the Chao themes in both Sonic Adventures, and other music in some Sonic games.

I hope that the new NiGHTS game for the Wii has great music like the original.  Hopefully they will not do something ridiculous like having Crush 40 do the music.  I can't stand Jun Senoue or Crush 40.

Congrats on 5 years.  I haven't been around very long, but I wish I would have found this site long before I did.  All of you have made this a great site.

Quite amusing.  Although it looks a little easy, and you can only play Spring Valley.  :(

Nice maps.

Any idea when the Mega Man PC maps will be put up?  Just a reminder that they are here.

Wow, just wow.  I thought that I would never see this done.  Great job DarkWolf!

I may not be one to give a valid opinion, but I would like to see it done.  I think that a little momentum was lost when the deadline for this year was not met, but I think that interest could be stirred up again.  I think that if a project of this type of potential popularity was completed, EVERYONE would know of this site.  Who knows where it could go from there.

Bottom line, the project has a good start, and I think that it would be a shame to discard the effort that has been put forth thus far.

Just an addendum to the last informative post.  I would think that Oracle of Secrets would not be the name that they would have given the game.  I think that that was a placeholder title that was given to Farore after the game was canceled.

However, the idea of a book as the day/night switcher wouldn't be a bad idea.

(hope you don't mind the capitalization, but I like to put emphasis when writing names/alias)

Sure.  Call me what you want...provided its clean.  :)

As for those backgrounds, I might do it in the coming weeks in-between maps, so stay tuned.

I will keep an eye out for them.  Thanks.

I am amazed.  Those maps look so good.

I have said it before, I absolutely LOVE the graphical style of Sonic CD.  Although the gameplay may be lacking a little, the immersing atmosphere completely masks the shortcomings in the gameplay.  I am not usually one to rant about graphics, but Sonic CD is something special.

The Special Stages do get much harder.  DarkWolf hasn't put up stage 7 yet, but I would say that it  is 80% water.  Very hard stuff.

Terra, I would like to get my hands on those HQ Special Stage backgrounds when you get around to ripping them.  Just to let you know that there is actually interest in them.

@Terra:  Good job on those maps of the Little Planet.  I haven't seen the ones for the future before.  The only alternate one that I have seen is the one at night.  How did you activate them?  Is there one for the past?  I am going to have to look into that.

@DarkWolf:  All right!  Another Special Stage!  Please post it as soon as you can.

I don't necessarily like the tone of that comment.

BUMP!  I found some more info on the game:

http://www.zeldawiki.org/The_Legend_of_Zelda:_The_Mystical_Seed_of_Courage

It has some ideas, such as the supposed name of the game and the Book of Secrets.  Don't know how accurate it is, but there you go.

Interesting.  Some of it sounds similar to the Hyrule Symphony OST.  Very nice find.
