Why don't you just turn the extra layers off?

For some reason your tile splicer didn't work (possibly an error on my part). I might go and fix up the maps on a later date, but I see little reason to do so as of now. :P

Next up, Cave Story!

It turns out that the person who made this game was on crack. The tiles are 12 by 12 pixels, making it so the Revned's Tile Thingy won't work. If there are no objections, I'll just send the maps off to JonLeung.

I seem to be unable to edit my posts anymore for some strange reason despite the fact I have done so earlier.

From: JonLeung

Couldn't Revned's Tile Slicer/Splicer help very much in that regard?

If the tiles are all lined up properly in the image, it really sounds like it would.

There is about an 8 pixel wide border on each side and the levels are separated by only 8 pixels, but it sounds like it could make it umpteen-jillion times easier once I fix those issues. Will do.

Also, here's the shareware map. I split the file with HxD (with a couple of fasinating mistakes).

Bleh. After a couple minutes I realized that it wouldn't be worth the effort to syncronize the animated tiles. Unless somebody feels like coding some sort of search & replace script o' death, it's not going to happen. :P

In other words, it's practically finished.

Rest of the maps:

I think I might do the levels for the shareware version, just for the sake of completeness. The only difference is a couple of enemies, iirc. The alpha version might also be a good look, but it runs waaay to fast on my computer.

I 'finished' the maps. All I need to do is syncronize the animated tiles, which might take a while. I can't do it right now, because I have homework. ;-[

Jetpack is the awesomest DOS game ever. If you want to download it, go here: http://www.adeptsoftware.com/jetpack/

I decided to have each image show 10 levels, considering the fact that the levels are distributed so there is a 'bonus' level every ten levels.

Thanks to DarkWolf for splitting the JETLEV.DAT file into .LVL files.

I think I'll do Jetpack first. If somebody could help me divide the JETLEV.DAT file into 99 separate 506 byte .LVL files, I could be done in less than a week.

Yes JonLeung, I was referring to the PC version. However, there's not much use in mapping it considering the official website has the official hintbook, which contains every map except for the last stage. But, looking through it again, many of the maps seen squished and streched...

If my browser is to be trusted, you did not upload the Bank of ZZT map.

I'm contemplating what game I should map next, if any. I could do Super ZZT, but given the lack of an external editor and pure suckage of screen capturing in DOS text mode, I doubt it would be worth the effort. Other possible PC games include Duke Nukem 2, Jetpack, or Secret Agent. I could try to finish up the Mega Man X maps, but my computer went crazy last time I tried to because it's older than dinosaurs. The most likely possibility for me is Cave Story, a freeware Japanese platformer.
