think most of the SNES games may be quite hard what with those... parallax background things. And I wouldn't expect anyone to make a decent ripped map of SM64 or DK64. Most likely, an original.

Anyway, I'd like to add:

new Donkey Kong Land GB maps

new Donkey Kong Land 2 GB maps

new Donkey Kong Land 3 GB maps

more Super Mario Land 3 (Wario Land) GB maps

new Wario Land 2 GB/GBC maps

new Wario Land 3 GBC maps

new Wario Land 4 GBA maps

new Donkey Kong Country GBA World maps

new Donkey Kong Country 2 GBA World maps

new Donkey Kong Country 3 GBA World maps (including Pacifica)

a map of Necky's Nutmare from Donkey Kong Country GBC

Those and the ones in the first post I'd like to see most... oh, and possibly some more ripped Mario Kart maps (64, Double Dash, Super Circuit, or DS).

When I say, DS, I mean the actual coloured maps (the map on the game which actually shows where items are, etc.) which, if any one even dared to complete pixel by pixel, would take.... ages, I know, but, well, some one might do one.

Oh, and dbarrier54, I don't think ordering people to 'do the maps, now!!' will get them fulfilled any quicker, if not at all.

Maybe more like 'Can some one do these?'. Things like 'I want you to do these', or 'Do 3 maps a week', telling/ordering people to do them isn't very good.

One of the original purposes of the board was to accomodate for map requests, but there's always been a tendency for nearly all mappers to do projects that they feel like - a request at most is probably just reminding people of their options and hoping that one of them will have the time an motivation to do so once reminded.

I encourage requests, just know that at the moment, with a general sort of ennui (that's the second time I used that word today!) that seems to have set in with even the most prominent mappers, you can't expect anyone to pick up on your request, particularly if you expect them by a certain deadline which is unrealistic.

"Ask and you shall receive", as they say, but here we may have to encourage a whole entourage of new and skilled mappers to come to these message boards before we can realistically expect that number of map sets to be done even in the course of a year.

Something that the Map Request board would be good for is if someone needs only a very specific map or portion of a map done. Once on the forum at The Castlevania Dungeon, someone was asking about a map of the dark room for Harmony Of Dissonnance. Seeing as I had done tons of work for the game, I went ahead and did that one on the spot in about a half hour.

If anyone was wondering why conversation in this topic seems jumbled, it's because I was merging similar topics together.  It works, but the intertwined dialogue is awkward in places.  Now I know to be more careful, as it's not possible to unmerge them (as far as I know).

And dbarrier54, your requests are noted.  Repeating them isn't going to get them done, or at least not any faster.  I support your right to make Map Requests, but you really can't demand them and expect them all to be fulfilled, especially in such a short time frame.  Please refrain from asking every day, or I will have to consider more drastic actions than just deleting redundant topics.

Wow, blatantly ignoring an admin is pretty bad. I think Terra's right, he's just a troll. Now he's asking for GameCube games....

dbarrier54? Is it REALLY necessary to list the entire levels when you could just say "all the levels"?

If I wanted maps for Donkey Kong Country levels (which I do, actually), I'd say "Can someone do some or all levels from DKC?", not

"DO THESE MAPS NOW:

Jungle Jijinx

Ropey Rampage

Reptile Rumble

Coral Capers

Barrel Cannon Canyon

Winky's Walkway

Mine Cart Carnage

| | |

| | |

V V V

Oil Drum Alley

Trick Track Trek

Elevator Antics

Poison Pond

Mine Cart Madness

Blackout Basement

Tanked Up Trouble

Manic Mincers

Misty Mine

Loopy Lights

Platform Perils.

Do 3 maps per week starting now. DO THEM NOW!!"

(I wasn't saying "DO THEM NOW!!" I was just quoting the sort of anti-social scumbag that this anti-social scum bag called dbarrier54.

I wonder when his birthday is? Probably 19th June 2006, lol!

But, seriously, I know I'm no mod or admin, and I haven't really got any right to do this but:...

THE MAPPERS AND MEMBERS OF THESE FORUMS ARE HERE TO "DISCUSS" MAPS, AND OTHER THINGS THEY WISH, AND "ASK" FOR MAPS. NOT TELL THEM TO DO 3 MAPS EVERY DAY FOR SUPER MARIO WORLD 2, FOR EXAMPLE. YOU ONLY NEED TO MAKE ONE POST SAYING "I WANT SUPER MARIO WORLD 2 MAPS", AND LEAVE IT AT THAT. STOP F***ING ORDERING PEOPLE TO DO WHAT YOU WANT. INFACT, WHY DON'T YOU JUST GO BACK TO YOUR OWN UNIVERSE!!

The maps I want at least 3 a week is...

1. Super Mario Bros. 2: The Lost Levels

   FDS Version (other)

2. Donkey Kong Country (SNES)

3. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (SNES)

4. Donkey Kong Country 2 (SNES)

5. Donkey Kong Country 3 (SNES)

6. Diddy Kong Racing (N64)

7. Yoshi's Island (N64)

8. Donkey Kong 64 (N64)

9. Paper Mario (N64)

I learned my lesson not to post what level names I want in the exact order ever again.

@dbarrier54 (when/if you are unsuspended or if you're not banned): Actually, I didn't miss those maps. I just replaced them with:

| | |

V V V

Also, keep in mind that, from what I've learnt, it would take weeks just to do a level from DK64. Infact, most of those maps would take more time to do one each than what you ask for them to be done altogether.

Finally, you only need to ask ONCE. (Infact, let me give you a bit of advice. Try using the question mark, and ASKING.) You don't need to keep demanding the same maps every time you post.

Now, a few things about your map requests:

When you say 'Yoshi's Island (N64)', don't you mean 'Yoshi's Story (N64)'?

While I'm at it, I may as well list the games I'd like to see a few (not necessarily ALL) maps from:

Donkey Kong Country (SNES)

Donkey Kong Country (GBA)*

Donkey Kong Country (GBA)**

Donkey Kong Country 2 (SNES)

Donkey Kong Country 2 (GBA)*

Donkey Kong Country 3 (SNES)*

Donkey Kong Country 3 (GBA)*

Yoshi's Island (SNES)

Super Mario 64 (N64)

Yoshi's Story (N64)

Donkey Kong 64 (N64)

Micro Machines '96 (Genesis)

Micro Machines V3/64 (N64/PC/PSOne etc.)

Donkey Kong Land (GB)

Donkey Kong Land 2 (GB)

Donkey Kong Land 3 (GB)

Wario Land (GB)

Wario Land 2 (GB)

Wario Land 3 (GB)

Wario Land 4 (GBA)

Mario Kart DS (NDS)***

* - The World Maps from the GBA are different than the SNES

** - Pacifica

*** - The actual color maps that you see on the bottom screen which you can see items, objects etc).

I understand the Mario games and their derivatives, as in Donkey Kong, Yoshi, and Wario, but Micro Machines?

Not that there's anything wrong with that; they just seem out of place...

I know the topic title said "Mario, Yoshi and Donkey Kong Maps". I was too lazy to start a new topic, so I thought that while I was posting in a request topic, I'd list some of my games, including non-Mario-related maps.
