NES Rambo request
« on: October 03, 2010, 11:33:35 am »
Hi Folks,

After some searching around the web, and especially here, I was a little bit surprised to see there was no map for this game yet, or at least, nothing better than a much-to-be-desired ASCII map on Gamefaqs.  I had never even thought to check to see if there were forums on VGMaps, though I've been coming to the site for some time (The Solstice map on the site is from me), so I was glad to see the forums are actually here!  I'm not sure why I hadn't noticed this ages ago.

Anyway, I hope someone finds the urge to take on this request.  It'd be great to see exactly how this game all fits together after all these years.

Phew, now I see why you wanted this mapped.  Night and day, lopping rooms, even a few morphing paths.  This'll take me longer then I thought.

Hah, I know.  I never could figure it out.  So confusing.  I tried mapping it with pen and paper and I just got lost.

I may not be able to get the night version of the last two areas but we'll see.

All done.  Five areas total and no night version on the last two.  I'll have them all posted be the middle of next week.

Wow!  Great job, man!  I'm kind of surprised they line up so well, but maybe it's just that you made order out of chaos.  Hard to tell when it looks so neat.  I was starting to think, "Man, this game is way smaller than I thought" until I expanded those later few sections.  The game is huge.  I wonder how it compares to, say, Metroid.

Really glad to see how this game is ordered after all these years.  May thanks, Trop!
