Inty's signature
« on: April 25, 2006, 03:08:01 pm »
What's up with Inty's sig?

From the profile:

<object data="https://www.vgmaps.com/rand.php" type="text/html" style="width: 400px; height: 30px">Your browser doesn't support object.</object>

I don't know if people are seeing something I'm not.  I only get a textbox with nothing in it.  Kinda silly if you ask me.  And the overhead of loading that empty box is not exactly what I'd call user-friendly!

If it's browser related, I'm using Maxthon, based on IE 6.0, running in XP.

I saw something about a random sig for awhile, but it didn't seem to be working. Just today I started seeing random nonsense. I'm using Safari.

Most of the time I see "Generic Random Sentence".

But you are getting different ones, right?

This posts sig should be different to the one above....

Better than me.  There's nothing random about what I see.  Always the same white box with up and down arrows, which is pretty much useless considering the box contains a single space character.

Never heard of Safari.  Is that a web browser?

You should all use Firefox.

Yes, but "Generic Random Sentence" was all I saw for several days. I think it just started working today.

Safari is the best. Mac only, though, sucker.

I tried Firefox.  Couldn't get used to the Ctrl-N doing new window instead of new tab.  Plus, I don't like how it doesn't integrate with the standard Favorites directory.  For some reason, it has to maintain its own Favorites XML file or something instead.

I'm getting kind of curious about IE 7.0.  It is yet to be seen if my curiousity is for nothing.  It's only taken Microsoft a few years to catch up with the rest of the world.  Probably because they spend all of their time trying to emulate Apple.

Ctrl + N is a new window. I just right click on links and select new tab.

Otherwise... Ctrl + T

Firefox owns.

Safari opens links in a new tab just by clicking on the link while holding the command key.

Ah, I was wondering about the text box for Inty's sig, too.

Count me as an eternal IE fan until MS makes a fatal mistake with it.

I keep getting the empty white text box as well, but that could be an Explorer thing. =P

And I wish I could use Firefox; my crap computer crashes every time I try and load it. A couple more months though, and I get my own laptop for school. I can hold out...
