Journey to Silius (NES)
« on: August 19, 2008, 06:10:19 pm »
Hey folks. I'll be working on Journey to Silius for NES and also, but not limited to, Shining in the Darkness Maps. I'll work on the Journey maps more though. It shouldn't take too long to make maps for this game. It only has 6 levels, but the game is quite tough. It's nearly impossible to get lost in this game anyway cause' you can go one way right, or down, or left, and can not go back. I have included the Check Points as well. As far as I can tell, that should be all of them. You can continue from 4 different spots on Level 1

Stage 1 - Deserted Space Colony

I've included a short and sweet strategy for the first sub-boss and the Helicopter. If done precisely, you can defeat the sub-boss without taking any hits. I did. The Helicopter pods are a bit tricky.

Good work, but I think you should include stationary enemies on the map, especially those mines. Also, I think you forgot to remove the HUD from the boss screen. It looks very out of place.

Fun fact: This was going to be a Terminator game, but Sunsoft couldn't secure the license.

RT,

Well actually I left the HUD there at the end of the map. But I guess it would look nicer if it wasn't there. The boss screen is mostly just a snapshot to show the boss. I'll take it away. I managed to finish Stage 1 without getting hit! Took three or four runs through but managed. :)

Stage 2 is now finished. Just need to run through and find the stationary enemies.

I just noticed that you forgot to get rid of the HUD at the beginning of both of your maps. :P You should fix that.

Another Fun Fact:

- This game has a really rockin' soundtrack. It uses the DMC channel for the bassline, and it sounds really good.

Fact: generally accepted opinions also count as fact.  At least if they are undisputed theories over enough time.

Looks good, but you forgot to add a blurb about getting the homing missiles in the Level 2 map.

Well I think the game's sound track is very cool actually. It's a fact For me too. Ahh I guess I could remove ALL the HUBs then. :p I still need to place the rest of the stationary monsters on level 1, and start level 2's. The bassline

I'll add a blurb. I guess I forgot, or deliberately forgot to remember to forget. I'll keep ye all posted. that's a fun fact too.

That is an opinion in and of itself.

At any rate, I'm completed the first three levels now.

That's not <link=http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0094963/quotes#qt0203192>(the way I heard it)</link>. Also, I prefer to add the second half
