Map Requests / Incomplete Genesis Games List
« on: June 23, 2013, 10:53:44 pm »
Not too long ago, I've read all of Jon Leung's famous NES/SNES/Gameboy ATLAS series, chronicling the status and percent completion of all of the major NES/SNES/GameBoy games either requested or started already. Seeing how insanely popular and widely successful those game map/atlas projects were, I wanted to get some momentum going on the Sega console game maps, and get some much needed attention focused back on them.

Starting with the famous 16-Bit Genesis game-maps series, I want to point out that the following sets of existing Genesis game maps are thus far ...... INCOMPLETE.

Altered Beast

Battletoads

Contra: Hard Corps

Demolition Man

Ghouls & Ghosts

Greendog

James Bond: The Duel

Jungle Strike

Langrisser Hikari II (J)

Magical Hat no Buttobi Turbo! Daibouken (J)

Rocket Knight Adventures

Rolo to the Rescue

Streets of Rage 2

Sword of Vermilion

Toki

Let's all work together and try to finish off as many of these Genesis mapsets as possible. Thank you all.  ;)

[EDIT]: Removed Scooby-Doo Mystery & Comix Zpne from the list, since they have been completed. Thanks for pointing that out, Jon & Will. ;)

Yes, that title is a mouthful. It's a super rare Mega-Drive platformer from Vic Tokai based on an obscure 80s anime show of the same name. It's essentially the Japanese version of Decap Attack from 1990.

Since there's a complete set of Decap Attack maps on this web-site, I would love to see a set of maps from 'Magical Hat no Buttobi Turbo! Daibouken' to go long with it. Pretty Please!!!  ;)

Map Requests / CLASH @ DEMONHEAD (NES)
« on: March 27, 2012, 12:26:28 am »

TALKING TIME:

"I only have 1 map request to make for a long, non-linear, super-quirky-fun action game called 'CLASH AT DEMONHEAD'!!

You might have heard of it via reference in the Scott Pilgrim movie. Or maybe you've seen the 'Happy Video Game Nerd' review it before.

Here's a 9-part video walkthrough of this lengthy Vic Tokai NES game from 1989:

Can someone please make a series of maps for all 42 maps???

DOMO ARIGATO!!"

Map Requests / Ghosts 'n Goblins: Gold Knights 1 & 2
« on: February 20, 2012, 04:40:12 pm »
I've noticed that the amount of iPhone/iTouch maps on this site are pretty limited.

Might I suggest two classic Capcom ipone games from the infamous G&G series??:

- Ghosts & Goblins: Gold Knights

- Ghosts & Goblins: Gold Knights II

I would really looove to see both these games mapped out.  ;)

Map Requests / Mitsume ga Tooru (The Three Eyed One)
« on: July 07, 2011, 11:16:38 pm »
Has anyone ever heard of a rare NES game based on an obscure old anime from the late 80s called 'Mitsume ga Tooru'??

The main character looks like a cross between Krillin and that three-eyed freak from Dragon Ball. I forgot his name already, haha. The premise of this game is that the Krillin lookalike hero (Hosuke Sharaku) has to save his girlfriend by defeating his lifelong nemesis. Gameplay is like a cross between Jackie Chan and Mega Man, and there are five stages in all.

It's a really cool game, and should be a quick and easy one to map out.

Map Gab / Akumajou Dracula Special Boku : Dracula-kun
« on: May 21, 2011, 10:02:27 pm »
Otherwise known as 'Kid Dracula' for the Japanese Famicom, starring the loveable Alucard when he was a squinty-eyed little Majin-Buu faced youngster.

A while back Revned graced this awesome site with the first stage of this game mapped in the NES section. Unfortunately he stopped right there.

Mr. Revned (or anybody else), can you pleeeeease finish off the maps for the next 8 levels???
Thanx!

Map Gab / SUNSOFT - 'Trip World' request
« on: February 28, 2011, 04:51:37 pm »
Has anyone heard of, played, or even attempted to map out the 5 main platformer levels from Trip World before?

Trip World is a little-known gem from SunSoft for the original Game Boy. It is very cutesy and reminiscent of Gimmick! for the Famicom, but definitely easier. It's a very easy and short game with only 5 stages and almost no menacing enemies. But it's a very solid platformer nothing less.

I would love to see someone like WILL or TERRAESPERZ (who did a great job with GIMMICK!) do all 5 levels of this game.

THAT WOULD BE SWEET!! :)

Map Gab / Little Samson (NES)
« on: July 30, 2009, 10:57:11 am »
Has anyone heard of little Samsom (from Taito, I think) that was released in 1993 when the NES era was ending?

It featured 4 different playable characters (a little boy, a dragon, a mouse & a golem) with unique stages and challenges for each one.

LICKLE, DRAGON, GOLEM, MOUSE! TOGETHER THEY FORM...LITTLLLLEEE SAAAMMSSOOONNNN! Or something to that effect.

That game had insanely gorgeous graphics for the NES and was super addicting. Has anyone taken a stab at mapping Little Samson?

Has anyone ever heard of a really obscure Super Mario/Sonic rip-off called Kid Kool (and the quest for the 7 wonder herbs) by Vic Tokai? It was the spiritual predecessor for DeCap Attack, Magical Hat - a Turban Adventure and Psycho Fox. Has anyone started ripping maps for that game from an NES ROM?
