Is there any way that someone can map the Rise of the Triad game??

Done as of this weekend, thanks to Zerker.  By the way, Rise Of The Triad's maps easily take up the most space of any single game on VGMaps, at over 2 gigabytes.  I don't have an exact figure yet because it's taking like a week to run through PNGGauntlet.  I started it last Wednesday and it's far from done...

Did you hear?  There's going to be a remake.

It seemed like a good project at the time. I'd be interested to know if PNGGauntlet made much of a difference.

FYI: I have since released the tools that I wrote to generate these maps. These tools will let you generate your own Isometric maps of 3rd party ROTT maps (assuming you own a copy of ROTT), or extract resources from the ROTT wad file.

i think it was around 2.34 gigabtyes worth of space when i saved the maps but i converted them over to jpg and the size went down to around 700 or so megabyte.

maybe ya could convert them over to jpg format so they won't take up 2.34 gigabtyes worth of space on your drives?

Space is cheap. JPEG compression artefacts can ruin any sprite based map, so JPEG is usually avoided unless absolutely necessary.

true.

i usually convert photos only when i need the space on a flash stick and that's why i suggested it though.
