Animal Crossing: The Movie trailer

Animal Crossing movie trailer!

I wonder if it actually is a "movie", or if it's a show (bad translation could refer to it as a movie, my mom calls TV shows "movies" all the time).  Because I think the nature of Animal Crossing would lend itself much better to a TV show, if it had to be adapted at all.

Imagine: episodic silliness involving the characters found in every town, plus a boy and a girl. Or two of each, like in those Animal Crossing (for GameCube) commercials.  Special visitors and particular animal villagers could be the focus of a particular episode, but then they leave or move away at the end of it.

What do you guys think?

Oh, here's the official Japanese site.  Looks like Kapp'n and Tom Nook are definitely in it.

It was an okay game, however it seems like they'll have to do a lot of work in adapting a free-form game like this into an intersting story.  Like you said, it would be better if it were a series, but even then I think it would go stale after a little while.
