For this month's "Maps Of The Month" featurette, I wish to draw your attention to Will Mallia's Mega Man: Star Force - Dragon / Leo / Pegasus (DS) maps.

In the year 220X, Geo Stelar, an eleven-year-old boy, mourns the loss of his father a few years earlier due to an explosion on a space station. After his father's co-worker gives him a Visualizer, a special visor that allows him to see the "EM Wave World", Geo meets Omega-Xis, an alien who seems to know Geo's father, and can merge with Geo to become (a version of) Mega Man.  Together, they neutralize hostile FM beings that pose a threat to the Earth.

Taking a cue from Pokémon's multiple releases, this first game in the Mega Man: Star Force series comes in Dragon, Leo, and Pegasus flavours.  Each version has its own transformation, charged shot time, and unique "Giga Card", but the overall story - and maps - are the same.

The Mega Man: Star Force games take place in a different timeline than that of classic Mega Man, but it is in the same one as Mega Man: Battle Network, as you can probably guess by its gameplay and overall look, despite being 200 years later.  There are still some labyrinthine areas, especially in the EM Wave World, which is where Will Mallia's maps come in handy!

So to recognize the effort put into mapping the first chapter of the latest Mega Man legacy, Will Mallia's Mega Man: Star Force - Dragon / Leo / Pegasus (DS) maps will be known as VGMaps.com's Maps Of The Month for April 2026.

If you aren't familiar with these games or its sequels (or any of its bosses, like my friends), you could always check out the recently released Mega Man: Star Force - Legacy Collection!
It came out just last Friday, for all modern consoles and Steam, with new quality-of-life updates, art and audio archives, and more!
