So here it is. The Mickey Mouse thread for the Genesis version of Castle of Illusion.

I'll start by asking if I should include the BG in each map or l eave it, or submit both a BG version and a noBG version?

The maps are pretty easy to make out but sometimes the BG blends too much into the tileset layer. Like the forest.

Here is those maps - Practice Level 1-3

Enchanted Forest - NoBG - BG

Toyland - NoBG - BG

The Storm - NoBG - BG

Those are all complete.

I also have The entire Enchanted Forest Level complete which includes the remaining 3 areas/stages of it plus the boss for a total of 4 areas. I'm thinking each level has 4 areas but will find out.

There are plenty more maps to do so I'll check back soon!

It appears that I've only two more areas to map. So I could be done pretty soon! I've done quite a few. I'm getting the hang of this mapping stuff... Wink It's fun!

Hope all is well with everyone... It's been a ghost town round here lately.... :/

Yeah, it's definitely been quiet lately. I still hang around but I just don't have the energy to post anything I'm doing at the moment. Maybe soon hopefully.

Going back to you, those maps are nicely done! I personally much prefer maps in general with the background unless its inclusion makes them unreadable. In your case, it's definitely better with it.

It's nice to see that there are still people interested in mapping out these older games. It's starting to feel like with most of the classic games already mapped, few people are trying to keep the tradition alive to try and map as many of them as possible. Like JonLeung tends to say, it's amazing that all the Genesis Sonic the Hedgehog games haven't been mapped properly yet for example, and there are way more classics still missing. Hope you hang around during these quiet times until we experience some kind of rebirth of the VGMaps forums.

Current project that I really should try to finish:
-Drill Dozer (GBA)
-Sonic 3D Blast (Genesis)
-Naya's Quest (PC)

Pending project:
-A ton of stuff that will never be finished

Hey All! Or, Tera atm.. Wink

Yes I'll try hanging around. Was thinking of doing some more SNES Mystical Ninja maps. I actually mapped an area or two a while back but just small ones. I'll need to refresh myself and break them out.

OK. All that's left to map is the Mizrabel Battle! So including maps with and without BG's. One or two stages look a bit too busy with the BG included but no fear. All maps have a BG and NoBG version! = D

This totals 27 maps aside from the two BG-NoBG Mizrabel Battles.

I have some stuff in the works, though for now I have to break in a new computer and figure out how to use some new emulators. On the plus side, it looks like the number of new submissions has been picking up again, especially with all the arcade maps coming in.

Your Super Ghouls N' Ghosts maps were a nice surprise. I'm quite familiar with how challenging that game is, and how elaborate the backgrounds are. Smiley

Good we got some submission activity. Sometimes there wont even be a Maps in Progress thread for a lot of the game maps submitted (I'm guilty..)

Carry on dark_lord and looking forward!

OK this game has officially been completed and submitted so now this can go into the Map Gab. I'll be working Mystical Ninja maps now. The game is fun and very fun to map. It has some many cool things to do you want to include everything you can in the maps! =D

Good day to all and to all a good day.
