Sega Megadrive (Genesis)/Sega CD Game Atlas
« on: June 27, 2013, 03:41:39 pm »
Following the classics of the previous Master System / Game Gear Game Atlas, I have compiled their successors that act as the counterparts for Nintendo Classics. What would be the Alex Kidd chapter 7 has only one game released which is "Alex Kidd In The Enchanted Castle", therefore I have replaced it with the two games of Vectorman. The Phantasy Star chapter excludes text adventure games. There are a total of 28 game titles. Where there is '+' it's a game that only exists on Sega 32X or Sega CD. Here is are the games of this atlas:

That's a good list.  I don't think it's necessary to have removed Alex Kidd just because it has only one Genesis game though.  When the original NES Game Atlas came out, StarTropics didn't have its sequel yet, and yet it still warranted a chapter on its own.

But then again now that I look at it, I guess that game is done anyway.  :P  Isn't it?

Anyway, thanks for making (and maintaining) these Sega lists, Will.

I heard the 16-bit wars seemed to be more in favour of Sega in Europe.  Is that why I see its European name, the Mega Drive, used so often?  Or do I just notice it because there aren't many differences in names between North American and European stuff (as long as they're in English)?

I'm pretty sure it was only released as Genesis in North America and that the rest of the world knows it as Mega Drive.

Alex Kidd Enchanted Castle "technically" isn't complete.  There's a sky level that I didn't map, but due to the lack of detail, it would be pretty damn hard, and not a very useful or pretty map.
