RE: Granada (Genesis)
« on: June 21, 2006, 11:39:50 am »
I recently submitted some old maps I had on some backup CDs to VGMaps.  About a day later, I found a partial map and decided to complete it.  While making this map I remembered how much fun it was.  So I've decided to do a few maps here and there.

These are two I submitted, but aren't up yet.

Glad to see a new mapper. They look very nice! I don't see any problems so far.

The "Genecyst still the best!" in the lower-right corner of the second map seems a little...what's the word?

But otherwise, I don't see any problems either.  Then again I'm not very familiar with the game.  We do need more Genesis maps, in any case.  Keep up the good work!

Just finished Stage 3.  It looks a little weird, but that's how it is in the game.

Looks very good, and I like the Genecyst comment; there's nothing wrong about a little hommage to one the first really good Genesis emulator ;)

Here are Stages 4 & 5.  The border around Stage 4 is a little funky, but the finished piece-together had such weird edges that this was the only way I could think of to hide them.

(I'll submit them at the end of the week with anything else I do.)

There are nine in total, so that should be all of them.

Hey John, there's a X68000 version of this game, and I didn't even know until last night!  If you're not familiar with the X68000 it was a proprietary computer that only sold in Japan.  I'm not sure if you want to add a re-direct link for this or not.

The colors are a lot better in this version and it has the animated intro that was ripped from the Genesis version.  I guess since the game is 3 disks it wouldn't all fit into a cart.  Doesn't explain why the Genesis version has darker colors though.

If it's feasible, I might make a set for this version too.
