What's the best sprite resource on the Internet?
And just as importantly, which is the easiest to make requests on?

I know of three two sprites sites I've visited over the years, but only ever for references when attempting to rip multijointed sprites of bosses when mapping. As far as requests are concerned, I have no idea as I've never checked forums, only submissions. I wouldn't be surprised if, like us here on VGMaps, people simply submit sprites whenever they want while not really bothering with requests much, if at all.

As for those sites (which I found simply by searching on Google) are:

-The Spriters Resource
-Sprites Inc. (for Mega Man and Castlevania only)

Current project that are on hold because job burnout :
-Drill Dozer (GBA)
-Sonic 3D Blast (Genesis)
-Naya's Quest (PC)

The way TSR is set up requires you to have a certain number of posts before making any requests, simply because of the number of people who show up just to request sprites and do nothing else.
MM (10%) - SMA3 (33%) - DNS (0%)

I'm looking for sprite rips from Shock Troopers: 2nd Squad (Neo-Geo/Arcade).

Specifically, I'm looking for the large images of the main characters.  The ones that appear when they have dialogue.  There's probably a few for each of the four characters, which is why I haven't really had the time to look into doing it myself.  I'm not in a huge hurry, but if anyone looks into this, thanks.

I asked about sprite sites in general because I was hoping someone might already have these, but also if there was some other resource for if I would ever need something else in a hurry.  I guess, as Terra pointed out, one can't really expect requests to be fulfilled quickly, if even at all...but hey, I thought someone might run a sprite site and have some leverage.  :P

Is this what you need?

Hey, that's awesome!  Thanks!

(There are also the portraits for the four main characters on the character selection screen, as well as the opening sequence/attract mode.  I guess I didn't actually request those, and not a big deal.)

Did you use any particular tool or emulator to extract them easier than mere screen captures?  The text boxes are always in the way.  I remember NeoRageX way back in the day was pretty good, but I don't think it's supported any longer...

I would suggest that you submit those sprites to The Spriters Resource or something.

Thanks again, DarkWolf!

Kawaks makes Neo-Geo and CPS1/2 sprite ripping pretty easy.  If I have time I might add the other images you mentioned, the ones along the bottom are for the good-ending credits screen, so I suppose I should include the other stuff.

Ok, I updated the image, it has some additional sprites on it now.  Unfortunately in the player select image the text is part of the sprite.
