Excellent! Snake's presence surprised me, as did "Zero Suit Samus." It looks really cool, except Wario. I'm positive I'll be getting a Wii now.

Talk about a surprise announcement. I wonder if there are other surprises in store for the convention.

There is so much to be excited about with the Wii. Zelda and Metroid launch titles. Sonic getting a better control scheme with much improved graphics, Red Steel, Excite Truck, Madden '07, Call of Duty 3, Resident Evil, and so many more. There's the rumored Star Wars light saber game, a game from Valve, the downloadable content, . . .

I can't wait. I'm giddy and I'll be first in line to grab a Wii from Walmart.

I'd love a Counter-Strike on the Wii from Valve. Yeah, that Smash Bros. Brawl trailer made me orgasm.

I wonder if a girl will come over and play with my Wii.

Awesome.  This wasn't shown anywhere on the floor yesterday, it was apparently after hours stuff.  Crazy!  Makes me feel better about the Nintendo showing, the Wii booth was REALLY nice but I felt something was lacking.

Greetings from E3, by the way.  Will soon be heading out for day 2.  Spent more than half of yesterday at Nintendo's.  Didn't get as much swag as hoped, or at least nothing overwhelmingly cool.

Not much swag?  Bummer.

The GCN to Wii step isn't nearly as impressive as the N64 to GCN step. They sure cam a long way in those few years.

But then, the N64 was always pretty limited in terms of 3D graphics. Doing better wasn't hard.

But when I saw Melee for the first time I was in awe. Brawl doesn't look worlds better than Melee. I'm not complaining, I think there's a limit. We'll never want a photorealistic Mario.

Mario's shoes went from looking like bricks to looking like potatoes.
