So I just graduated High School...

The official ceremony is next week, but I'm done. It's depressing that I'll never again see most of the people I used to see on a daily basis.

What about university?  Is there a university or college in your area that everyone is pretty much going to?



When I finished high school, I moved on to the U of A.  Most of my high school friends went there, and we stuck together, so many of us were better friends because of university.



Some people have, over time, dropped off the face of the earth.  Not literally, I hope.  I heard the other day that one of the genius guys at my high school has finished med school and may already be in practice.  It's kind of scary, really.  Not that he's a doctor, but that I haven't come close to even figuring out what I want to do with my life.



At least I paid off my $23000 student loans in a year - exact to the day, in fact...many people I know are still in debt, and will be for very long.

My high school is filled with overachievers. Our school is one of the best in the country. So most people go out of state. Many go to the university I'll be going to, but probably less than a third. Only a couple of my good friends will be there with me.

i know the feeling of not seeing my high school friends once i graduated depressed me as well but I ended up finding atleast one friend I once knew and she lives within 10 minutes of me and is a fire dispatcher..

I agree with Terra.   It does make me feel rather old to see the youngins graduating from any grade sooner than normal.       :|

That's a noble career for sure. Hopefully you'll be teaching in a college or higher so that you'll get students who have at least a chance of *wanting* to be taught.
