1. He's not mistaken, but insists that he is.

Inty: Error, from Zelda II: The Adventure Of Link.  He simply stands in a house and says "I am Error."

2. He wasn't published by Nintendo at first, but became a boss character in a Nintendo game.  Now he's a good guy again, or at least when he was on TV, with a slightly different name.

Inty: Lolo / Lololo / Fololo, of the Adventure Of Lolo & Kirby series

3. This Koopaling's airship has no propellors.

Revned: Wendy O. Koopa, from Super Mario Bros. 3

4. In the very first mainstream console game to feature force feedback, a special way of defeating it resulted in the largest vibration possible in the game.

Inty: Mechbeth, who is diverted into an arms factory, or some other explosive building, from planet Macbeth in Star Fox 64

5. What is the name of the character who reports no problems at the beginning of the blatantly-named sixth area of a game?

Inty: Caiman, from "Area 6" of Star Fox 64

6. What is the name of Miyamoto's dog, both in real life and in a game?

Inty: Pik, as seen in Nintendogs, and Pikmin was named after it

7. There are actually more than 386 different species of Pok?mon.  Name at least three Pok?mon that are not (or are not yet) numbered.

Inty: Bonsly, Munchlax, Lucario, various Japanese ones, from the most recent Pok?mon games and movies, also technically acceptable: the "glitch Pok?mon": Missingno. and ???

8. Adult import model Francine Dee has this creature tattooed near her nether regions.

bustin98: Mew, the original "secret Pok?mon"

9. Din is to Chattur'gha as Farore is to Xel'lotath and as Nayru is to?

Revned: Ulyaoth, from Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem - other names refer to Zelda goddesses/Oracles and the other Eternal Darkness "Ancients", corresponding by colour

10. This Hunter's name is half of the North American title of another Nintendo-published game for the same system.

Inty: Trace, from Metroid Prime: Hunters and the other game is Trace Memory, which has other names in other regions

No contest here.  Inty got 7/10.

Revned

2. Donkey Kong

3. Wendy O. Koopa

4. Star Fox

6. Pip

9. Ulyaoth

I'll let someone else finish up.

TerraEsperZ

9. Er, Ulyaoth?

I'll admit 2 is an awkward one, but it's not Donkey Kong.

I've edited the post to show who's the first to get the right answer.

Revned

Ach, Google failed me for #6. I saw a big ol' article about his Nitendog named Pip. Ah well. And I didn't think it would be Star Fox, but it sure was a big deal when the Rumble Pack came out.

JonLeung

You mean Rumble Pak (no "c"), and while it sounds like you know which game it is, this is a quiz about a specific character.

Revned

Oh, I see. Kind of forgot about that. Lets see... there were different paths, but they all led to Andross? Is he the guy?

bustin98

Number 8 is a cat. I had fun researching that one. . . :o

Inty

1. Link?

2. My guess is Metaknight

4. Starfox 64, Macbeth Boss. Shooting 8 switches.

6. Jack, not sure on this one.

7.

Munchlax

Lucario

Bonsly

Manene

Manyula

Manafi

Tamanta

Perappu

Buizeru

Inty

If #2 isn't right, then i guess Birdo this time. And Shiggy's dog might be called Pik.

JonLeung

Series-wise, Inty is correct (except for his second guess of #2).

But his answer for #4, while technically correct, could use further clarification.  I suppose the problem is that its name isn't mentioned in-game...

I suppose I should've looked more carefully at #7 (as in, looking at Japanese names), or should've specified I meant English names, but I was definitely looking for Bonsly (Pok?mon XD), Munchlax (Pok?mon: Destiny Deoxys/Pok?mon Dash), and Lucario (Pok?mon: Lucario And The Mystery Of Mew) so you've got that answer.

Inty

#4 On Macbeth (I think that's the name of the level where you're the tank), you have to hit the 8 switches travelling by as you fight the boss. He then collides into a train station and makes mucho rumblage.

I might as well give it to you, since you clearly know which it is.  The game doesn't say that its name is Mechbeth (oddly similar to the planet it's on, Macbeth) so I guess most judges would accept that description.

I would've thought the first one was infamous and classic enough, though.  I saw it in a very recent IGN article, actually.

bustin98

Francine Dee: The tatoo in the back of my neck was done in Las Vegas.  I was holding on to some blue eye babe while getting it done.  The two charms in my back were done in Melrose.  My right ankle tatoo was done in Miami.  My back ankle tat was done in NYC, the dragon on my foot was done in sin-city, and the infamous kitty-cat tattoo was done in Venice Beach,CA.

I don't know if 'kitty-cat' qualifies as an obscure nintendo character.  It probably needs a name or something.
