Am almost done with it (only Demon World left). The World map is quite big (55 MB!) >_< will try to make it smaller with PNGGauntlet, but that will take some time...

That's great to hear that DQ5 is being mapped.

dont get your Hope too high, since i have only mapped the three World Maps (World, Fairy and Demon). I am not a Master like Peardian who can map 3D Games. ^.^
Legends never dies.

Trop

And you're really making these from the PS2 version not the SNES version?  How are you getting around the 3D?

Paco

yes, its the PS2-Version and no i didnt map any 3D (cos i cant).
Legends never dies.

Trop

Are you using some kind of program to rip the tiles or backgrounds?

Paco

I only used the Emulator PCSX2 which has a Sreenshot-capture like any other Emulators too. That is all. ^^
Legends never dies.

Trop

Hmmm... with details like that, you could probably get away with a jpeg. :P

Nice job, by the way, though the little seams kinda bug me.

Wait I thought you said you were currently mapping this game. Are the maps that are on this site right now it, or are you making more maps to add to those. The ones on the site look great  by the way.

Trop

Ah, makes sense now.  Nice.

nothing i can do...

As long as you use a smart image editing program to create the jpeg and not something like Paint, the quality will be fine. Just look at my Ocarina of Time maps. I had the PNG and JPG versions side by side, looked away for a moment, and couldn't tell them apart. :P
