Map Gab / Re: The Final Fantasy Legend (GB) / Makai Toushi SaGa (WS)

According to my English Vocabulary, the most acceptable names are the "World of ..." since Continent World and Ruins World sound a bit silly like "Ruins World" is like a present perfect tense action. "Ocean World" and "Sky World" seem exceptionally okay. Of all the three words in the second set of options, I'd go for Bandit Cave, since the cave is occupied by bandits but may not forever. I see things like Brigand Fort or Empire Outpost a lot in the Exile games by Spiderweb Software.

Map Requests / Re: Mega Man Maps

The moment has come. I have mapped out the area for the final battle in Mega Man Star Force, meeting both the FM King and the Andromeda monster superboss. The Extra Scenario by the way consists of four maps. Shall get round to doing them ASAP.

EDIT: The whole of Mega Man Star Force is complete. In the Japanese version there is a Lunar Knights appearance and side quest but no new maps. I shall start on Star Force 2 later.

I now have finished WeaponLord. That makes two Street Fighter games the last fighting games in this section.

Real people? Hmm...In that case you might want to put that topic in the secret room, before spammers manipulate the information to their advantage. I wonder if those shoe and bikini adverts were copied off from somewhere. If I were accepting new members, I would test their interests and passion of gameplay, cartography or emulation like some sort of survey.

Today I have submitted a lot of "Killer Instinct" stages. I'm not sure how many stages exist in the game or what their precise stage name is.

I am now onto the Space Station and its computer system. The Space Station real world has a lot of stars in its background which sort of slows my progress. I was not aware of the extra scenario, but I'll get to it soon.

Maps In Progress / Re: Exile
« on: August 14, 2011, 02:59:54 pm »
Now I have discovered something that puts me in a dilemma. There are two versions of Exile. The older version has a lesser colours, with grey floors, orange-brown rocks and cartoon-styled people and monsters and this also appeals to some fans on the Spiderweb Software forum. The newer version is the one I have submitted with a rusty colour scheme, a bit more texture in some tiles plus some of the monsters and items are a bit difficult to spot in the map. I want some feedback to let me know if I should continue the new Exile or switch to the old Exile. If you've never seen the old Exile, check out the graphics on: http://www.spiderwebforums.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=181956#Post181956

Maps In Progress / Exile
« on: August 13, 2011, 08:49:05 am »
Spiderweb Software's collection of RPG games are fascinating. I am working the game Exile, which is a predecessor of the Avernum series and soon to be remade yet again. Exile used to have different graphics, which in my opinion was more colourful and better looking than the rusty colour scheme used in the latest versions.

I'll be sending a list of towns and dungeons. The list will be in alphabetical order of course. To position the enemies in their original positions I have used both the spells Magic Map and Detect Life. In addition I'm indicating the statues that talk and the items that are found in crates, bookshelves and barrels. Wish me luck on that project.

Two of the stage maps are completed. Expect to see more and perhaps all of the remainder the following week. Currently I am trying to straighten the stage 3 graphics due to the wavering background of the desert. You'll hear more from me.

I believe this three-eyed freak as you call him is Tien. This platformer seems good enough to do after my recent experience with Vice: Project Doom. Count on me to map this.

This game is finally finished. Could have done it a long time ago. Stages 5 and 6 plus the Break the computer bonus stage are coming up.

Map Requests / Re: Corrider 7 and Catacomb 3D on the PC?
« on: July 05, 2011, 09:26:37 am »
It's different if you're looking for in-game maps. Birdseye view in-game maps like the ones from the Super Nintendo version of Wolfenstein 3D and the Catacomb Trilogy (Consisting of Catacomb Abyss, Armageddon and Apocalypse) might be the style you seek. Mind you Corridor 7 does have in-game maps, but they are quite vague with only blue and grey colours, yellow dots to indicate enemy positions and red dots wherever the player places mines. Is this Catacomb you are talking about fully titled as "Catacomb 3-D: The Descent"?

The last driving stage of Vice: Project Doom is finished and has been submitted and that therefore finishes off another NES game.

EDIT: I have redone the basketball court of NBA Jam Tournament Edition and I have mapped the easiest of battle stages of the game "Weapon Lord".

Maps Of The Month / Re: 2011/07: Duke Nukem II (PC) - High Treason
« on: July 01, 2011, 02:13:05 am »
It's a pity that the map set hasn't gotten an improvement to mimic the real thing. The maps have a lot of missing sprites and objects (especially the force fields, a few teleporters, slime vats, flowing water, screen messages and so on. Some maps like Episode 1, Level 8 is pretty untidy with gaps in the walls. In every level there isn't a background, just black colour. The maps are just incomplete that way. If the maps can be improved within the month it is well worth it.

I too had played Duke Nukem II. My favourite weapon always has been the flame thrower. If you notice various graphics and sprites have been copied and based on the Amiga Turrican trilogy. The first episode was great, but I was somewhat disappointed with the other episodes, because they hardly offered newer features from the first, just a couple dozen new enemies, sceneries plus a jet craft. In each episode you destroy radar dishes and get an "Earth" quake but there's no new unique features after that.

I have now finished Carl Heitman's work of Mortal Kombat 3. Originally the arcade game has 13 different battle arenas. The SNES has been reduced to 11 arenas since Smoke's stage is Pit III completely copied instead of altered somewhat and the Graveyard Stage has been removed entirely. Some sites say there are more arenas, but do not confuse Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 with this game. Accessing the Hidden Portal requires entering a Kombat Kode.

EDIT: I have submitted the final stage map of Vice: Project Doom. Only two driving stages remain.

ADDITIONAL EDIT: I have submitted one of the driving stages of Vice: Project Doom. That leaves one final map to do in the game. Also I have finished the first Track & Field game even though it doesn't make its mark here.
