Maps In Progress / Re: Position hacking script for Sonic 1, 2, 3 & Knuckles
« on: September 28, 2013, 12:54:19 pm »

Quote
* Graphics: Added "Pink Background" option and hotkey.
Flag is stored to config.
Color is "Magic pink", r=max, g=0, b=max.

* Graphics: Toggled layers now are saved to config as well.
TODO: Figure out hex value for pink for mode_555.
TODO: Configurable backdrop color (is it needed?)

This freaking toggle now works for any game, even though Sonic or, say, Tiny Toons use not zero color as backdrop. Toggled layers now get remembered between sessions.

Plans: add turbo toggle. add "save screen to clipborad".

I guess snesmaster got some success in adjusting the palettes for his snes maps.

Not sure if Gens devs can help in this case, and VRA-rr developer, klmz, was missing for quite a while as well. But asking them in where they use to chat (tasvideos) never hurts.

Thinking of improving the tool?

This happens when the map has repeating little fragments, the program has no idea where one starts and another ends. Try my predefined settings:

Making the snes palette selectable just like in fceux is currently worked on.

3) the OSD is not captured in a screenshot by default, but you can toggle the behavior with file -> screenshot -> Capture OSD
4) sounds like the exact feature we already have

Probably it can be done with palette files, like in fceux. Will inquire today.

I compile interims here:

And yes, freenode #tasvideos is a place to ask anything you wish.

I don't quite understand what you mean. It would be perfect if you registered at TASVideos and ask in the thread. Or at least at #tasvideos IRC! Ping adelikat there (may be BimmyLee atm). Or enter #tasemu and ask right away. Both on Freenode.
