VGMaps Social Board / Strange Dreams
« on: April 25, 2006, 12:51:02 pm »
Have a strange dream? Post it here so we can go all analytical on its meaning and come up with reasons why you dreamt what you did.

I thought I'd post one of my most earliest dreams, from when I was 3 or 4. I dreamt that a tyranasaurus rex ripped the roof off the house looking for me. And I was hiding behind a couch where I was hoping I could see it but it couldn't see me.

Funny how I knew what a t-rex looked like back then. But I do have a ton of dinosaur books so that might explain it.

<insert beavis & butthead laugh here>

you said 'unit'.

I am cornholio. I need TP for my bunghole.

Amazing how Rev can be both black and white, providing for everyone's tastes. Though, you know, I've heard that once you play black you can't go back.

Um, please don't share any details. Though I'm interested in knowing how often Rev's controllers need to be charged. ;)

Almost nothing has been officially announced for the Rev. It has been said that the two USB ports on the back could be used for HDD storage. There's speculation on whether Nintendo will release their own drive or support existing hardware. In either case, part of the size difference is due to the 360 and PS3 having HDD built in. I think its only fair to show the Rev with a HDD if that is a possible configuration.

Now there are rumours of an external harddrive for the revolution. We'll have to have a new chart that takes that into consideration if one is announced at E3.

Oh Jon, please share the wonderful SWAG you come home with.

And please try to log on the site with impressions of the cool games, especially the Revolution.

If you break down the phrase:

"I've saw"

to the non-contraction, you are actually saying:

"I have saw"

You can say:

"I saw that yesterday."

or

"I have seen that before."

Hope that makes since.

So, Revned, don't you wish I could edit the post so it reads "sense"? lol

VGMaps Social Board / RE: What kind of music are you into?
« on: April 23, 2006, 02:29:08 pm »
I prefer the industrial / heavy metal stuff, though I like some easy listening and alot of what's considered 80's. But I haven't been very much into the music scene since the 90's. When Nirvana hit the airwaves, that transformed my musical tastes. And then going to the second lalapalooza, Ministry just blew my mind.

Nirvana's Nevermind is a masterpiece.

Nine Inch Nails' Pretty Hate Machine and Broken are must own.

Other favorites include: Tears for Fears, The Police, The Cars, INXS, Simply Red, Drown, Revolting Cocks, Offspring, Sponge, Green Day, Violent Femmes, Def Leppard (pre-90's), Catherine Wheel, and on and on. Oh, can't forget KMFDM and Gravity Kills.

Some one brought it up on the last board, but anyone interested in music should check out www.pandora.com. Great site for introducing new artists.

Alright. One last post on #8 and I'm done with it. I can't find a straight on shot of the tattoo that has enough detail to make out. I'm thinking this has to be some Pokemon. Myuu or Persian. Some Oriental Sex blog is just calling it a sex kitten, in their ignorance I suppose.

8. Adult import model Francine Dee has this creature tattooed near her nether regions.

I was reading the question as a Nintendo creature too, but all it asks for is 'creature'.

There's like nothing on the web about her tattoos. Even the site that I pulled that quote from is now expired. I was only able to retrive it through Google's cache.

Francine Dee: The tatoo in the back of my neck was done in Las Vegas.  I was holding on to some blue eye babe while getting it done.  The two charms in my back were done in Melrose.  My right ankle tatoo was done in Miami.  My back ankle tat was done in NYC, the dragon on my foot was done in sin-city, and the infamous kitty-cat tattoo was done in Venice Beach,CA.

Another suggestion is to add the user who last posted along with the time stamp on the board list.

While there isn't a specific board for this, I'm sure this topic will be moved once one exists.

But something I'd like to see once any other more pressing issues are addressed is the signature. I really think it should be dynamic and not just part of the post. So if I change my sig in the future, its reflected on all of my posts and not just new ones.

Even though this game was announced for the Gamecube, I'm hoping it gets moved to the Revolution. I've heard the original creator really wanted the first game on the N64 due to the unique controller at the time, but Sony dished out the cash to make it exclusive. Now that he's been brought on board as a consultant, hopefully he sees the potential of the Revmote.

I've played through the first two games on the PS1 and part of the third. I enjoyed them enough. I couldn't stand the pixels though. Get too close to a wall and you have no idea where the heck you are. For me that was the challenge of the third game. It started in a jungle and there were so many leaves close to the camera that all you saw were giant green blocks. I hate the PS1 for its lack of aliasing.

While I've heard the game is short, I may pick it up once it hits the GC (Revolution).
