Yes, when it's done. :)

I've more or less found where the coordinates of the players and the enemies are stored, but I haven't found where the coordinates of the gates are stored. I want to add them too, just like in these Prehistorik 2 maps.

I guess the DOS version has the same levels as the Amiga version. And I guess the SNES Blues Brothers game is the same as Blues Brothers: Jukebox Adventure for DOS.

Here are some work in progress maps of level 2 through 5:

About 7 years ago I created a program that shows the maps of the DOS version of the Blues Brothers. I couldn't figure out where the coordinates of the players and the enemies were stored, so I gave up and began on other projects.

This is level 1, without the players and the enemies:

There are maps of Dangerous Dave on this, I think, Russian site: http://cowboyua.clan.su/index/0-52 and http://cowboyua.clan.su/index/0-55

I few years ago, I've started creating maps of the DOS version of the Blues Brothers. I can't remember how far I got. I have to look that up.

The source code of Xargon is available, so you could see for yourself how the game does it.

The four secret maps in Paganitzu 3 aren't mapped yet. On my website I've put hints on how to access those secret levels: http://www.student.tue.nl/p/f.a.m.smeijers/sfp/games/paganitzu.htm#hints

You've missed a secret in episode 1 level 15. On the left hand side of the level, behind the water, there's a secret where you get two extra lives.

Looks great Frenkel!  Thanks.  I will update the list as soon as Jon uploads them.

By the way, have you given consideration to adding enemies/items/bosses to the Mega Man PC maps that you ripped earlier?  It would make them more complete.  Just curious.

Lets see...  This leaves Battle Network WS as the last obscure game to map.  I wonder how RT-55J is progressing...  >_>

Thanks again Frenkel.

Thanks for all the compliments :).

Yes, I will take another look at Mega Man I PC.

I have figured out almost the whole file format of every data file of Mega Man III PC and I will post this information on my website as soon as possible. I'll try to apply this knowledge on the Mega Man I PC data files, but don't expect it to happen very soon.

I turns out the files are compressed using the LZW data compression algorithm. Here's a description of the algorithm and some code that works on the Mega Man III PC files: http://marknelson.us/1989/10/01/lzw-data-compression/

Oh man!  It's Torch Man from Mega Man III PC!  Congratulations Frenkel - you did it.  Just out of curiosity, how are the maps encrypted?  Can't wait to see more.

To make a long story short, I don't know how the files are compressed. I just run the game in DOSBox with the debugger enabled and let the game decompress the files and then I dump the memory to get the decompressed files.

Is there anyone here who recognizes from which game this map is? ;)

Map Gab / Thor Trilogy (PC)

I've created maps of all the levels of all three episodes in the Thor Trilogy.

I've put the maps on my website and I would love to see them here on VGMaps. My website: http://www.student.tue.nl/p/f.a.m.smeijers/sfp/games/thor.htm
