"Ferry Fiasco" seems a little incorrect (even though it's what it says in the game) -- it should really be called "Plate Peril", as it's exactly the same as Plate Peril in the Game Boy and Game Boy Color versions (which replace Ferry Fiasco) <_<

I was just thinking, for the August 2012 map(s) of the month, are we (or should we) have some kind of extra special featurette of some sort? I say this, because, as you may not know, August 2012's MOTM would be the 100th one.

As you might or might not be aware, I've played Micro Machines, Micro Machines 2, Micro Machines '96, Micro Machines Military, and Micro Machines 64/V3 and have seen every track for all of those games. The Genesis version of the original game had an extra variety of track in which you raced with Choppers, in a sort of garden type area.

Are there actually any new codes for this game at all? I'm sure the ones on GSCentral for any device, Action Replay, X-Ploder, etc, are the same as they were about 8 years ago. I'm sure by now, there's bound to be some code that will have something to do with the camera position, or maybe a sort of large code which enables you to simply move Wario anywhere on the screen, even through walls, in any direction (exactly like in the old Sonic debug modes)?

If there's a simple cheat code to either free-fly around the stage (like the debug modes in the original Sonic games), or at least one to change the location of the "camera", that'd be good. I think the latter one would be better, if it's possible since I could have the screen at the very top left corner, take a screenshot, then move the screen not quite a screen to the right, to leave a small bit overlapping, so that it's easier to stitch, and keep going to the very right of that particular stage, and then continue, but roughly one screen below, etc (which is pretty obvious). Although the "free-fly" type code would be just as useful, I think.

The "You still need cheat codes" in your post, seems to imply that you have something of interest <_<, well it'd be a bit odd if someone was to say something like "You still need cheat codes"? "Yes", "Well I haven't got any" :P

Firstly, only one of them can be Map(s) of the Month.

Secondly, why do you HAVE to have that god damned annoying "demanding" tone?

Normal person: Please can someone do this for me?

You: I want to see this done.

Remember about 4 years ago? You were literally not only DEMANDING us what to do, but WHEN to do it!
"I want to see 3 maps every day starting now!"

Even now, you're like "I would like this to be Maps of the month": Not to mention, as far as I know, you don't decide. I believe it's Jon that does that (unless the mods have a secret meeting to discuss it).

Such a shame, as this was a pretty fun game, and the maps should be somewhat interesting.

On the main Maps of the Month page, it says "StarCraft II", just thought I'd point that out.

The only way I can think of this working, at least with emulators that support disabling of seperate backgrounds and sprites, is to record the game as an input file (e.g. a VMB file for Game Boy or Game Boy Advance games), and then play them with the desired layers disabled, and output as an AVI.

I have a feeling, and I'm sure Maxim was also referring to this, that if say, you did a map of a 2D level, then wouldn't your character be spread across in a weird constant line?

Like, say, you had a character that was nothing more than a hyphen (-), wouldn't the result turn out like this:
----------------------------------------------?
Also, is this for Mac or something? I have no idea what GIT files are or PY or whatever.

That's exactly what I was talking about.

In the January 30, 2010, it mentions Mario Kart DS (REVISED).
When I looked at the maps, I'm sure they were all revised.
The only thing I can think of, is that the January 30, 2010 update was only the new tracks and the February 7, 2010 was the Retro tracks?

Map Gab / Mario Kart DS maps?
« on: February 08, 2010, 08:35:09 am »
OK, so I'm a little confused. Basically, the main news mentions that maps for this game have been revised, but to me they don't look any different to what they were say, a week ago, when they were revised. What's new in the recent (about 2 days ago) revision of Mario Kart DS maps, as opposed to the revision from some time last month? I saw the newer maps, that Piranhaplant did which did not have the shots of the actual stages from an angle in a small area on the main map, but that was January, I think.
