Since this game is complete do we need to move it to Map Gab?

Thanks

Thanks for the motivation and inspiration! I never heard of this one (kinda odd I haven't...) until I watched a Happy Console Gamer episode on the tube. He did a whole episode on it:

It's a pretty nice game. I'm about to try and find it on eBay as an import. I'd like to have it even though I couldn't play it locally. It'd ease my mind a bit anyway knowing I owned the game. It may take a week to get started. Atm still working on doing a small little web page for our game Dungeon Heroes that we finished making.

I'll keep you updated.

Well good news about maps being posted normally. I see the good versions now. I wasn't even thinking to check the main site. I was too tired. It wouldn't be wise to do all that mapping work just to see the results all scaled and perhaps even blurry and / or filtered.

Very nice work though! I may get to playing 3D Blast again and try making it past Act2.

@Jon
You know after all these years I still use Paint Shop Pro 7.04 and it does everything I need it to do that the other tool I use (Character Maker 1999) does not. Which of course i use in conjunction with each other but CM1999 is the main one. I use it for all my Spriting / Mapping needs. although there is an image size limitation with CM1999 of 8192x8192 it's always worked for me. Most of the NES games level's are no larger than 8192 which some of the Felix maps used. It fit just right.

I NEVER got into MSPaint even way back. My first paint/imaging app was Deluxe Paint II (for Amiga) back in the day then DPaint III which was the bomb adding in animation. But hey, whatever gets the job done and you're compfy with it. The newer versions of PSP after 7 lost my interest and that was after Jascs sold out to Corel. Fun times..

How do we view these maps in their 1x1 size? The maps seem scaled.. Are they supposed to be?

I played this game some a while back but got lost half the time. Maps would help.

This game might be nice collection material Indie and all. I'm not to into stratagies though but I may look into getting me a copy just for the sake of New-age retro releases.

BTW I noticed that you Gave a copy of it to The Happy Console Gamer. I'mma fan of that guy.

CNV maps all complete and submitted now. 8 Levels, 16 maps Marked and Unmarked. All the levels have random enemies that pop out but most of the ones included are those that are nearly always at that spot.

Compared to making the maps for Felix the Cat this project went quite speedy. The game was finished without cheats but had to be MAPPED with cheats. The game is pretty fun. So this is it.

Seems this issue is still present. I guess it don't hurt to post then look at it to see if it looks right. heh :)

These maps are missing. The map guy negative1 may be missing in action or gobbled up by the gauntlet legends... It'd be nice to compare the NES version with the Arcade version maps. We'll see what becomes of these maps.

Map Gab / NES - Code Name - Viper

It has started. I searched the world.... wide web over but to no avail did I find any maps for C:N:V. So, I'mma make some! Here is level 1 The Jungle. Let me know what needs to be added to the layout design, OR even removed. Just wanna make sure it's clean and readable so anyone who might use them can smile happy that the map was helpful!

I may place the tougher style bad guys on the map where they are in the game. Like some tougher guys will be in the same spot all the time, most of the other villains are just randomly coming out of nowhere to kill you.

Yes - No?

So here is the Jungle Sample (Level 1)
Make your way through each level rescuing hostages and finding your comrade who is hiding so he can give you something to clear the level with.

Mario Kart 8 is the only Mario Kart I haven't played. I don't even own a Wii U. wished I did. Can't afford one.

I have been playing (and testing, helping out making stuff for it) Dungeon Heores
http://gamejolt.com/games/rpg/dungeon-heroes/23169/

The other game I've been playing is one I just started making maps for that no maps exist for nowhere. NES Code Name: Viper. I've already mad it to level 7 which is the last level but just started mapping level one last night and finished it. I'll post it in a starter thread. Although Code Name Viper is... what some might say a rip-off of Rolling Thunder, it has it's own little charm to it. As others may have said, it's more of an Homage than rip-off. Lots of games are the same but different. Clones what have ya.. Heh :)

That's all I've been playing lately after Felix the Cat.

I tried yesterday and today when making a post to preview the post before submitting it but it does not preview. It just reads "Fetching preview..." and that's it. any ideas?

Thanks

Good idea making two version of each map. The presentation is very nice too.

As for your question, I've never actually played the game so I don't know about those pickups. Are they normally visible during play? Because if they're not, they might be left over from an earlier version of the stage.

Thanks

As for the pickups, they are quite visible if you jump from the platform on the right to the left toward the pickups. there is however, that flying bird just over the hill that you can land on and ride, but he wont seem to fly above the hill to continue back toward the pickups.. However, if you just run off the platform toward the left you can't see them.

It's just kinda ponderous... Really ponderous.. I was thinking maybe just ride the other bird a bit left of the pickups but he doesn't fly high enough either. Grr... = D

Very nice

I could be wrong but SOTN is probably the hardest game to map out. It's been quite a while since it started being mapped. I'mma go out on a limb here and assume there has been many headaches on the creation of this one.

It would have been much better if all you had to do was just flip the original map upside down.. BUT no can do. :)

Good work. It's really large and over 51000 colors.

Perhaps someone could maybe explain what the purpose behind the inverted playthrough of the castle represents?

Maybe some twisted plot scheme, or maybe they just put it in there to add to the gameplay time.
