Mapping Tips/Guides / Emulator for PC games
« on: September 11, 2012, 05:22:08 am »
Hi!

It's been a while since my last post here and in there I was asking if people knew any good methods for mapping dark areas. What would be really easy and not so tedious would be playing the game in an emulator so that I can turn of that layer (darkness).

I've looked around and haven't figured out which emulator could do this. I know for a fact that it is possible to run it in an emulator due to a TAS of the game in question, but I can't ask what the TAS'er used because he's japanesee and put his video on nico nico douga (or however your supposed to spell it).

Any help on the matter is greatly appreciated!

Gaming / Speedrun Marathon (ESA)
« on: August 06, 2012, 12:40:05 am »
Hey!

The little orginazation Ludendi in Sweden is going to have a three day long marathon where the best speedrunners from Europe will blast through a lot of the classics as well as some newer games. They will be streaming it live 24/7 and there will be some donation goals where you can make the players show off more of the game or try taking on a challange and more. All donations will go to the charity Hand in Hand.

I will be destroying Castlevania: Symphony of the Night during the marathon and utterly breaking Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance during the bonus stream. ;)

Here is the official trailer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBCcqXgQmFY&feature=youtu.be

The trailer contains errors like aclaimed worldrecord holders not being true and my username is wrong...not my fault. Anyway I hope that some of you find this a bit interesting and I hope that you at least give it a watch when your favourite games gets played. Also the schedule and more info is in the begining of the trailer so please visit the links for that.

Map Requests / U.N Squadron (SNES)
« on: July 29, 2012, 11:50:56 pm »
Played this game yesterday and just searched for it here and saw that it ain't done yet. Is there anybody working on it? Is it not doable?

I think that some maps would look pretty boring for this one (like the second level) but some of them would be pretty beautiful.

Map Gab / Hydra Castle Labyrinth (PC)
« on: May 08, 2012, 01:45:06 pm »
Hey people!

I've done a sloppy map of Hydra Castle Labyrinth. It's an indie metroidvania game that you can download for free. So google it and try it out if you feel like it. Deceased Crab also made a 100% Let's Play of it, if you'd like to see the game with commentary.

I've been looking around trying to find a place where they would accept maps for this game and so I stumbled upon this site. Seems like you might have higher standards then I can provide for now. I mostly made it so that I may help people that gets stuck and anyone deciding to make speed runs of the game.

Attaching 1/4 of the main area map so you can see what I'm blabbering all about.

I really like what you guys are doing and hopefully I didn't cause any trouble :)
