Gaming / Girls' Games
« on: April 24, 2008, 10:42:12 am »
I have been thinking, but I wonder how many girls' games with maps are on the website? So far I have done Sailor Moon - Genesis (I have no intention of finishing it its not very good to me), The entire SNES Sailor Moon Quartrilogy, My Little Pony - GBA (I haven't gotten around to continuing it) and now I'm currently doing some rounds from the Arcade game "Pretty Soldier - Sailor Moon". I know what you are thinking and probably the same as me, I'm the only male who is mapping games for girls (or so I think, if you don't think my remark is prejudice), I only wondered if girls who visit the site would have felt a slight exclusion from lack of those games so I made sure some of those games were mapped and here they are. Believe me, I am sensible and I do not believe being girl is all about pinky, cute, cuddly, soppy and such like. If you're wondering how I can stand such content in a game, it's easy for me. Any game short of ugly cartoons like Powerpuff Girls or bad titles like Pokemon (I really don't like it) and I'll attempt to map it, but I must also say I don't like games with wimpiness in it like "Home Alone". Anyway I wonder who else is into mapping games like these.

VGMaps Social Board / Recent updating
« on: April 22, 2008, 01:37:35 pm »
Hey Jon, you've broken your own record on this site by updating 4 days in a row, which I've never before seen. Sweet! I wonder what it would be like to update 31 days (in other words a month) in a row.

Maps In Progress / Garou: Mark of the Wolves (Neo-Geo)
« on: April 19, 2008, 12:35:40 am »
Hello Geminiman, so I see you have begun "Garou: Mark of the Wolves" and I'm impressed, that someone else decides to make Neo-Geo maps and battle stages. How amusing. In fact Garou: Mark of the Wolves is one of the latest games in the Fatal Fury Legacy. Keep up this brilliant work, I do so want you to accomplish something Neo-Geo fans from www.neogeoforlife.com can witness.

Say Jon. I've done some research on Neo-Geo fansites and I have found out the approximate titles of the Metal Slug Stages. Can you rename when you have the chance?

Gaming / Do you fancy Neo-Geo games?
« on: April 10, 2008, 02:43:05 am »
It's been many months and not once had I recieved comment or compliment about my Neo-Geo maps or any of the multiple versions of some their games transferred onto Megadrive, SNES and so on. Can it be that nobody has interest for Neo-Geo games? Or does no one know much about them because my maps do not tell much about them? I'm beginning to think that it is because the games are mostly fighting stage games with almost no proper maps. If anyone wishes to know there is a big Neo-Geo fansite called www.neogeoforlife.com , which contains much information you could need to know about the games but they might discuss a few Capcom games as well. NeoGeoForLife doesn't yet know about Jon's website but I'm sure they would love to witness everything this website has.

Map Requests / The Addams Family (SMS)
« on: April 07, 2008, 11:46:17 am »
I have all the rooms and all the places in the entire game which would add up to the total map count of 31, but I don't think its fair considering most of the rooms are screenshot size (248 X 169) and I want somebody to help make all 31 maps into one big map. Whoever volunteers, I will post you my materials. I assure anyone who gets started on this, that all 31 maps are perfectly well finished, showing all money, enemies. In addition I will also post to the volunteer a simple rough map of where the rooms link directly (don't expect any trap links from the chain room). I look forward to seeing a fine piece of work done by any SMS Mapmaker.

VGMaps Social Board / New Polls
« on: April 04, 2008, 03:53:39 am »
I have not yet voted for polls because I don't find many polls suiting to me as the polls seem to consist of brand new games and consoles which I am very new to. I would like it if there a poll on TV series related to your favourite games. For example why not ask the poll, "Which of the seven kooplings in Super Mario Bros. 3 do you prefer?". If you can't wait to find out what I would answer I will tell in my next post.

Maps In Progress / Rare NES games (hacks/homemade)
« on: March 29, 2008, 03:53:39 am »
I have just finished doing all 5 maps for the NES game Harry Potter (Yep it's the Philosopher's Stone) and when you have ever imagined beating up Dudley, Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon in a game. Next I've done the NES version stages of Fatal Fury 2 (I never thought that version existed) and finally I've completed the NES version of World Heroes 2 which has characters extracted from TV or old games like Goku (From Dragonball), Leo (From Ninja Turtles), King Koopa (From Super Mario) and many others. I will turn my attention towards the NES games 'The King of Fighters 96'' and KOF 99'.

Message Board Help / Personal point out (re: language)
« on: March 26, 2008, 09:47:19 am »
Jon just today I would to report that WOD1980 just swore twice with a double post on a map request. That language is uncalled for. Don't know what sort of person he is but this is no way to talk to those who make points about maps and games.

Map Gab / 10,000th map anniversary
« on: March 25, 2008, 04:26:45 am »
I know that we are a little far from getting the 10,000th map on this site, but in when the time comes, if Jon and everybody else likes the idea, I think we should do something special on the website as 10,000 is a the largest number of maps we could achieve shortly. When doing something special I think it should be differently from the Super Smash and Megaman anniversaries. Any ideas?
