Perhaps you could give them a bit of color? As in, dither/fade them while giving them a light touch of red or whatever color you want. Just a thought.

That's a really good idea. Maybe he can use a light pink outline for the hidden items in question.

Most of the stages seem a little short or straight-forward with the exception of World 3 and the Final World. Incidentally, those two are my favorites.

Congratulations Maxim on doing one hell of a job on all 56 race courses from Micro Machines 2 : Turbo Tournament.

This game looks insanely fun. My two favorite courses is 'Rapid Results' and 'Burn my Body'. LOL at the ice cream cone located where the sun bather's **** would be in the sand. :P

Also lol at the toilet-bowl Rim Runners course.  :D

Thank you.

I wish you the best of luck on it. I heard it's very hard to find, but it's really a gem. Especially the soundtrack and wacky boss enemies.

Has anyone heard of, played, or even attempted to map out the 5 main platformer levels from Trip World before?

Trip World is a little-known gem from SunSoft for the original Game Boy. It is very cutesy and reminiscent of Gimmick! for the Famicom, but definitely easier. It's a very easy and short game with only 5 stages and almost no menacing enemies. But it's a very solid platformer nothing less.

I would love to see someone like WILL or TERRAESPERZ (who did a great job with GIMMICK!) do all 5 levels of this game.

THAT WOULD BE SWEET!! :)

Thank you so much for ripping the intro stage maps to this game, King-Hyrule.

I love this forgotten NES classic. KO the mouse is my favorite player.

Those are some pretty damn awesome maps, Revned.

Would it be asking too much to include enemy sprites/locations in them as well?

How appropriate to start the year 2010 with maps from an old forgotten NES classic set in the same year.

So far, this new year is looking good in 8-bit.

Keep up the great work, Will and Happy New Year!

I'm looking forward to the rest of the BN4 maps and your other mapping projects.

No Castlevania map on this site past or future can compare to Revned's SoTN full-castle map masterpiece.

I would love to see more Castlevania maps from him, including the rest of 'Akumajou Dracula Special: Boku Dracula-kun (J)' for the Famicom.

I would love to see this awesome platformer mapped out.

And I don't care either about the backgrounds being included or not, even though they were gorgoeus.

Gaming / Re: What Games Are We Playing

Lately, I've been playing the following games over the weekends.

Persona 4 (very sparingly, I've had that game for over 8 months now and still haven't beat it)

Murumasa (just got it yesterday for the Wii)

Mega Man Powered UP

And a ROM of Little Samson and Psycho Fox

I swear that game has the longest title in the history of long game titles.

Its sequel's title is even longer if you can imagine. I heard it was called 'Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Eye of the Beholder II -- The Legend of Darkmoon' or something like that. Now that's a real mouthful. Much longer than 'Kid Kool - and the Quest for the Seven Wonder Herbs'.

Thanks for uploading the first stage (1-1) today. That really made my day. :)

Map Gab / Little Samson (NES)

Has anyone heard of little Samsom (from Taito, I think) that was released in 1993 when the NES era was ending?

It featured 4 different playable characters (a little boy, a dragon, a mouse & a golem) with unique stages and challenges for each one.

LICKLE, DRAGON, GOLEM, MOUSE! TOGETHER THEY FORM...LITTLLLLEEE SAAAMMSSOOONNNN! Or something to that effect.

That game had insanely gorgeous graphics for the NES and was super addicting. Has anyone taken a stab at mapping Little Samson?
