Maps Of The Month / Re: 2016/11: Gunple: Gunman's Proof (J) - Tropicon
« on: November 01, 2016, 08:27:51 am »
I looked at the main page and saw Gunple and thought "Oh someone did Gunple.. WAIT I did that."  This is a great game that is a total zelda 3 knockoff.  I always wanted to map it since I never got a chance to do zelda 3 because it was already done.  This was a blast to map and thank you for the map of the month honor.

Well for N64 I'd say
Zelda 5
Zelda 6
Aidyn Chronicles
Mischief Makers
Donkey Kong 64
for the best.  But I haven't played enough judge the worst.  But the 1st bomberman 64 game was kinda bad.  So was doom 64.  tetrisphere and turok rage wars were pretty dumb.  And I could not make heads or tails of yoshi's story

Wait, are you trying to get our individual opinions of the best and worst or the overall game community's opinion of best and worst?

So you're sort of trying to put the scan visor from the metroid prime series into all games?

The only way I could finish the KSS maps is if I had a camera scroll freeze code and it's not gonna happen.  That game is hell to hack.   But it's just two areas of meta knight that do that so If you don't mind it missing big chunks of those maps then you'll find all you need to finish KSS here:
 http://gamehacking.org/game/43469
 https://tcrf.net/Kirby_Super_Star

Just use the Brighten background colors codes to separate the BG levels, and use the TCRF code that's specifically for revenge of meta knight

You're knocking FF out FA.  Any planes to do FF8?

In retrospect I don't think I could make the money on commissions they would cost to create time and energy wise.  Oh well.

I never made LTIan any kind of quote, he never even asked, there was no discussion other then what you've seen here.  I never meant to pressure anybody into anything.  All I'm saying is if people want maps, and you don't want to hear about how they want maps, then they can commission them like any art, and it never has to bother you.

I guess if you truly want a request spam free environment you could rig the boards for mappers only.  That would probably stop all requesters.

Well that is not at all what I expected.  But it certainly has hints of that one lady that came in here demanding Mario maps.  You can't complain about something you're getting for free, even though I see a lot of people do.  What will be will be I guess.

Nope.  I think because I already told him that the difficulty on road runner is huge.  So the cost would be too.  He might way to start with a simpler game.  I should probably just do a difficulty assessment on all the loony toons games now.

I don't really see that happening.  The only scenario like that I can think of is if they want a "for my eyes only" deal.  In which case I'd have to email it too them, and it would never appear anywhere online.

Heh, yeah that's what I thought points were.  I'd never accept those.  DA already takes way too much out of prints.  Sell $100 in prints at DA and make $10?  No thanks, Red Bubble offers much better ratios.

Yeah I meant GBC along with that.  No NES since I'm just not experienced enough, and what experience I do have with PC has taught me it's a total crap shoot so none of that.  Also I never meant to attract commissions through this site, just to people that stumbled onto my DA page.  Part of my speech to any commissioner was going to be "So I'll post this here and at VGMaps".  Only if they disagreed would I restrict the image to being up at whatever place they specified.
