Map Requests / Re: Sega Genesis Mini 2 - full map set

Yeah, this will motivate me to do at least Vectorman 2, and maybe something else from the list.  :D

Desert Strike is complete, there's really only 4 levels, unlike its sequels.

Map Requests / Re: JonLeung's Requests

As of now, my Genesis requests are almost totally fulfilled.  All I have left is Treasure's intriguing McDonald's Treasureland Adventure...
I just played this game, and I think it's quite interesting with all its secrets and collectibles. I can do this, if no one else is started already.

Thank you! I didn't play the previous games, but I was lucky to have this one on my Sega Genesis. A game that both looks cool and isn't too hard to play or to map...
Especially with a "walk through walls" Game Genie code. ;D I wish all other games had this one. Such a great convenience for mapping.

John Brain has done Shinobi III: Return Of The Ninja Master.  Some more great 16-bit ninja action!  Thanks again, John Brain; you're really on a streak, aren't you?
I'm afraid there are no more of my childhood games on this set, so I'm done with my part. And I have not a slightest idea how to map racing games like Road Rash 2 or Space Harrier 2, so I guess we can only dream on making a complete set. But I was glad to make a contribution here. :)

ScHlAuChi and George S have mapped out the delightful Monster World IV (J), and John Brain has picked up where DarkWolf left off and finished the map set for Streets Of Rage 2!  That's two more down!  Thanks, we're now a little closer to mapping out all of the Sega Genesis Mini.
And Dynamite Headdy as well! ;)

I would love if someone could map Vectorman. If you're crazy and dumb enough to care about 100 percent completion for each level (me), then you need to find all the photons and TVs, and the levels can get a little complicated.
BTW too bad this can't be done - on some levels you can't get 100% photons/TVs without cheats, and Day 6 can't be cleared even with them, because the developers somehow forgot to put a few photons on the stage.

Maps In Progress / John Brain's Sega Genesis maps (22/24)
« on: May 17, 2023, 10:40:31 pm »
I've decided to make a list of Sega Genesis games that I plan to have mapped. All of them are my childhood games, with some exceptions, so the list is probably finite.

Completed:
Alien 3
Animaniacs
Blades of Vengeance
Boogerman: A Pick and Flick Adventure
Captain Planet and the Planeteers
Daze Before Christmas
Disney's Pinocchio
Doraemon: Yume Dorobou to 7 Nin no Gozans
Dragon's Revenge
Dynamite Headdy
McDonald's Treasureland Adventure
Predator 2
Revenge of Shinobi, The
Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master
Streets of Rage 3
Sunset Riders
Sylvester and Tweety in Cagey Capers
Taz in Escape from Mars
The Terminator
Vectorman
Vectorman 2
World of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck

Helped:
Disney's Aladdin
James Bond 007: The Duel
Streets of Rage 2

Planned:
Pink Goes to Hollywood - WIP
Stargate

Possible: (I want to have these games mapped someday, but not sure if I'll ever do this)
Alien Storm
ESWAT: City Under Siege
Flintstones, The
Golden Axe 3
Jungle Strike
Jurassic Park
Robocop 3
Squirrel King
Taz-Mania

I'll edit this post to show what game I'm currently mapping.

I also want to thank everyone who made maps for my other childhood games, like Sonic, Fantastic Dizzy, Tiny Toon Adventures etc, these people inspired me to start making my own maps. I only began a year ago, and it's not going to be my regular hobby, as the process is too tedious and repetitive. I even made a short sped-up video showing how I made one of the maps. Still, it would be nice to have mapped all these games that are special to me, and I'm looking forward to make a complete list.

This game is one of the most casual for playing and easy for mapping. And it still looks great. Thanks for choosing it! :)

BTW, I just sent you a set of maps for another Disney game. ;)

Replace the " (at) " with "@".  It's a spam-protection thing.  (I really don't know how effective it is...)
Ok, I'll do this next time.  :)

I can also grab them from GameFAQs.  Just let me know what name and email address to credit you by.  Should it be "John Brain" and the email address associated with your forums login?

EDIT: They're up here: https://vgmaps.com/Atlas/Genesis/index.htm#Alien3
Yeah, thanks for accepting them!  :D

I made a full set of maps for this game, but the "contribute" button on the main page doesn't work for me, so I don't know how to submit it. Instead, I added my maps to GameFaqs page.

Anyway, I doubt you'll see this message, but at least your request is completed.
