You mean like create a hierarchy of which games are most requested from a series that is so popular all its games have been requested already?  Go right ahead.

Only you left out:
remove backgrounds / foregrounds
remove sprites
remove transparencies
freeze animations
capture backgrounds / foregrounds
modify backgrounds / foregrounds
reinsert backgrounds / foregrounds
capture sprite defaults
calculate sprite locations
reinsert sprites
capture transparencies
modulate transparencies
modulate transparencies
modulate transparencies
reinsert transparencies
align rooms
add text / map legend / ect

3D is even worse.  Ogre Battle 64 was super easy as far as 3D mapping went but I still had micro manage the hell out of everything.  I think most of the people who have made requests here have realized they're never going to be completed.

It is actually insanely hard.  The reason there haven't been any new DKC3 maps is I lost a group of codes I was using and I've been killing myself trying to rehack them without success.  Of course I know nothing about 3D mapping beyond N64 and to show how out of the loop I am I didn't even know they had made a Sonic 4.  Also the stuff on the request list has been there forever and will never leave it.  Nobody here takes requests anymore.  Ten years ago I would have said video game mapping was going to grow into something huge like a lot of other video game things have.  But the truth is nobody cares.

Which Sonic is Sonic 4 anyway?  What console?  Also Sonic is already on the request listing under series request.

Once again a Booru would make a great image storage tank.

Undertale would be easy with just a few camera codes.  It's actually less visually complicated then Earthbound.  I always wondered why no one tried Binding of Issac since it's just Zelda, and minus a few transparencies you could map it one screenshot per room.

30k sounds about right.  One thing to watch out for in herc's adventure is fading light.  When you near the underworld entrance areas in the north northwest the pallet fades from brown to purple.  You'll have to decide if you want use one color, both, or some kind of transition.  Mapping the ocean will be a pain in the ass too.  popfulmail maps are coming out gorgeous by the way.

Map Requests / Re: Request: Road Runner's Death Valley Ralley Redo Maps
« on: January 16, 2016, 09:39:30 pm »
I'll give you points for determination LTIan but this game is just too hard.  Each map would be hundreds and hundreds of screenshots, there would be error fixing that could be hundreds more.  It would be a mountain of work for maps that only you would ever look at.  If by some luck there was a code that could a allow Road Runner to move around the stage at will ignoring walls and gravity then this would be a snap.  But as it is mapping this game would require every trick in the book from camera control codes to crazy tools.

That is absolutely incredible.  I can just see little 3D kongs climbing it.  I love DK isle in the background.

By Bonk 3 you mean on Turbo CD?

After I did Super Bonk I thought about doing Super Bonk 2.  It's got a great camera control code:

Unfortunately while using the code transparencies don't work making it useless.
